Lightbulb BackUp Camera (Mounitng Ideas?)

I went through all previous threads and all pictures have been lost..

Anyone have any good ideas or something creative on where to mount a backup camera on the CL ?

I looked at the back of the car and nothing stands out that would make a good fit.. Camera is about the size of a quarter or less..

Thanks

I think you might have to just bust out the ol' drill and drill a hole in the ass somewher. in the middle of the "U" in acura or maybe in the "A" badge. or just in the dead center of the bumber? No matter what your going to drill. You just have to ask yourself........is it worth it? It's a great Idea. I say go for it.

I've seen it mounted in between the number and letters on the license plate and it looks pretty good there

Is that legal? I wouldn't mind doing so if it's legal..

Use the camera that the member used and mount it directly above the license plate. Where the light and bumper lip meet. Would look nice thright there and doesn't obstruct the view of your license plate.

Found and borrowed:

Now, questions for you:
1. What kind of camera are you using (ccd?)
2. How are you wiring it? Do you have a navi conversion?

I'm the member who did that-- I think it works pretty well, its a little bit low, but almost a perfect split between what you can see out the back window and then whats below that point...

Where I mounted it:

I made a custom mount for the camera using a piece of metal using my dremel... I cut out a circle big enough for the camera to mount to, and then drilled two holes to match with the license plate screw holes. I could have mounted it a half inch or so lower had I been willing to shave the material back there more-- but I'm lazy, and pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

Outdoors:

Indoors:

I used the camera everywhere on ebay for backup camera use-- they're all abou the same... If I did it again, I'd probably go with one of the night vision ones (with the IR LED's built in..)
