Replacement Headlight Lens

I am trying to figure out if there it is possible to replace just the plastic lens of the headlight without replacing the entire assembly. We recently had our garage floors refinished and there was a cabinet outside that blew over onto the front of my 2019 RDX. It scraped the paint but also broke the headlight lens - there's a hole about 3 inches wide in it. I plan on taping it up for now and have an appointment with a body shop but wasn't sure if I'd end up having to replace the entire housing or what. Google hasn't led me to think anything different as it doesn't look like there are any part numbers for just the plastic.

Any insight here? I feel like an idiot because my wife even told me that the cabinet would blow over in the high winds and I didn't think to make sure it wouldn't land on my car if it did....

Garage floors look great though

I did some cursory looking on some of the popular Acura OEM parts sites, and it looks like it's the whole assembly. You would have to remove the lens and make sure you properly reseal it anyway - which in and of itself might be more of a headache in the long run.

Thanks - I went out and looked at the headlight today as well and it looks like it's glued together so it's unlikely anything I tried to do with just plastic would work as you said.

Now to find one that isn't $1700...

What I saw was less than $1700, but still like ~$1200-1400. Perhaps you could find one at a local junkyard??

you could heat the headlight n pry off the glass but if your gonna pull the front end apart and need a donor light you’d be easier just swapping them and being done with it

if you buy used make sure they are tested AND all tabs in tact

theres are about 100+ on ebay
