Remote start??
Yes! Living in NYC during the winter season, remote start is a necessity. I love the quick feedback on the remote. I elected this route knowing that I will keep the RDX for a long time; nevertheless, if you exchange cars frequently (within 5 years), don't do it. I would stick with the Acura app for the remote start. As for me...although it took 5 hours to install
and a trip to the dealer for programming, it was all worth it.

Yap! I totally agree. If I lived in Manhattan, I would happily use the app.
So if you live at 83rd and Lex, but get a spot at 78th and Third, a remote fob is useless and you need the app. I live up in the beautiful Hudson Valley, and my car is always right outside. So the fob would work for me from home. But not from the mall, or from the pool at the club. The app works for me better than a remote.
A lot of people just have multiple problems with the app, and if you have problems, well, that's a problem. For me, since I got a new Galaxy S10, the app has worked almost flawlessly. And the feedback on starting the car has gotten even quicker over the past few months. Typically less than 20 seconds. Even with the car in a multi-level parking garage while I was sitting in the food court in the Roosevelt Field Mall. Only once in the past 6 months did I get a network error and a simple retry worked immediately.
It should work that well for everyone and every phone and Acura should see to it.
