Received a Call from the Leasing Manager

I live in Toronto and have been leasing a 2019 Acura RDX Elite for about 2 years now. RDX runs great, I've had no issues and overall I really like the car. The Acura dealership I deal with have been very fair and the service department is great.
Out of the blue I received a call from the Leasing Manager and he wanted to discuss the great promotions and discounts available on the 2021 RDX that could bring my lease payments down. I currently pay $362,all in, bi-weekly with no money down, no security deposit, etc.
I see from their web site that there are 3 possible incentives available; Customer Incentive dollars( $1000), Loyalty Cash ($1000) and 0.99 % leasing rate for 48 months or 0% for 36 months. If I were to get all 3 my lease rate would drop to $299 bi-weekly all in for 48 months.
I know dealerships don't like to give you all the incentives so I am wondering from anyone's experience if they have been able to get all incentives on a deal, and secondly, for anyone in the Greater Toronto Area what have you paid recently on your lease?
Thanks!

Since the monthly (bi-weekly) payment is a major consideration with a lease, hear him out. Get a final number in writing and see if this is better for you. You can always say no. Residual values may also be coming in high for this RDX gen and that matters too. His tentative offer is a significant savings and worth investigating. (assuming apples to apples)

That is an intriguing deal! But what trim is that please? Platinum Elite, or Elite, or? What does that translate to in terms of the actual negotiated price of the RDX, after taking away the $1000 + $1000 deals from the manufacturer? I am curious to see how much that translates to in terms of actual reduction from the dealer.

Very similar to me. In Toronto too. I was in for service just before Christmas on my 2019 Platinum Elite. Sales guy (maybe the same one, hehehe) came up to me. And you know the story.

I did end up with the 2021 Plat. Elite. Your price is very similar to mine, 20,000 km lease.

I was worried about this because the 2019 had been very good. No issues. This one, well....in twice for the engine auto stop not working. They fixed that but after the software update a couple of weeks ago, it stopped again. Had vibration issues, they balanced (2 tires were out), still had issues and then they did a forced road balancing. It helped a bit. They also had to replace the steering wheel because the heat was not working properly.

Still cannot update the navigation maps. (My 2 year old car has new mapst than my 6 week old car.

I will admit the sound system seems better and it was pretty good before. And that damned grease spot coming from the moon roof and affecting the wiper is gone now.

Told him I really wanted to wait and see the TLX Type S. He said don't worry, he'll call me in 2 years and get me into that.

My last three cars were white but I went for a different colour. So the neighbours will know (and me too) that I got a new car. Still have having trouble finding it in parking lots though

Oh my, I just noticed it puts my age on the post. I just had a birthday too. It's one thing to know it, another to see it in print. How did I ever get this old!

Maybe it was rhetorical, but just in case-------by not dying.

Had to laugh. I have a few years on you. It made me recall an observation of my father, "If I knew I would last this long I'd have taken better care of myself". Happy birthday.

I’m with you. It beats the alternative though!

They want trade ins on the Gen3 RDX models because the demand is great for them from customers who want a near new car but at a lower price after the initial depreciation hit. The sales rep gets two sales - the used car you relinquished plus your replacement new car and they figure you have demonstrated a willingness to pay the depreciation hit on a new car once, so why not again. In my case I had a 3 year loan on a 2019 at a very low interest rate with only 5 months to go until it is paid off. They want me to trade it in for a 2021 financed back to 36 months at an interest rate higher than my original one. The monthly payment is less, but it is for 36 months for a car that is only marginally more valuable than my 2019 if kept for a few years. Also I did not put many miles on it this past year due to the pandemic. I did the math and it would cost at least $15 K going back to 36 months payments. The blue book delta between the two cars if kept for say 8 years would be very much less than that. The mail went into the trash..
