rear hatch opens during car wash...

I just got back from giving my new rdx her first wash, and as I walked around washing her, she unlocked and locked randomly, but the most disconcerting was the back hatch opening... is there a way to temporarily disable the hand free opener? I will be looking in the manual, but thought I would throw a quick question in here.

Disable power tailgate

Same thing happened to me 1st time I washed my SH-AWD Advance. Yes, you can disable outer tailgate handle & kicking motion in Settings.
Even easier IMO - lock the doors & don't have the remote on your person while you are washing.

Random unlocking is the fault of Rachel Notley. This will cease to be a problem in 2019.
Where was the fob while you were washing? A "pocket dial" perhaps?

If you have the fob on your while you are washing the car this is exactly what will happen. The fob needs to be out of range from the car. My other cars do this as well.
