RDX Destroyed by Fire
I know, I hate seeing this....
There's no apparent body damage which leads me to belive that it sadly committed suicide...
On the bright side, they can just build another one since it's still in production...
Had it been an older model, I'd be really upset...
I like the description of the color of the RDX is "Burn". I hope someone wasn't inside the RDX.
There seems to be nothing to salvage and it is for sale starting at $125? House fire, wild fire, or did the RDX engine compartment catch on fire? There was an old thread of a 2014 MDX engine spontaneously combusting in front of the owner's home: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-mdx-...parked-918976/

Could've been a house fire or even vandalism...
I sure hope that is wasn't an electrical/mechanical flaw for the sake of piece of mind for all 3gen RDX or Acura consumers!!!

I was thinking it was a sh-awd model because it has all four tires are on each corner and the spare is in the passenger seat. Looks like the engine compartment either was the start of the fire or it just burned like crazy (fuel leak)? I'm amazed how either front tire/rim still looks (sorta) OK with the engine compartment completely melted?

But for real hope everyone was ok, we had a suv crash in the city here a couple years ago and the driver couldn't get out because her seatbelt was tangled up IIRC and she was burned alive inside her car. It was horrific just hearing about it. Can't imagine being the 2 people trying to get her out but being unable.
What could you reuse from something like that? There's plenty of parts you can salvage from a flood car but I can't imagine what you could use from a burned car. Maybe the body panels could be reused if they were sanded down and repainted. But even metal parts like that are probably warped or weakened from a ton of heat. That plastic and rubber puts off a TON of heat when it burns.
