RDX Coupe

RDX Coupe
Quick rendering using the Precision Concept greenhouse on top of a 3G RDX. Slimmed the headlights, angled the tails more, slimmed down the side mirror, and couldn't resist using the Precision Concept wheels as well. Always thought the ZDX was unique and was the first Acura that seemed to be designed around the shield grill, so I thought this would be a fun to see how the new RDX would look as a coupe. The CUV coupe offerings are definitely multiplying among the German brands.

Summer is Coming
It's basically a sedan with a high belt-line. Looses the practicality of the RDX. Much like the ZDX was a failure. Style but no practicality and a back seat that you could hardly get into.

I occasionally drive the kid's TSX and realize how spoiled I've gotten driving my RDX and MDX with the high sitting position, better visibility, and how easy it is to utilize the interior space. I've always liked the ZDX and I think it was the right type of vehicle made for the completely wrong time (economy, job market, stock market, and housing market crashes). That would be my first choice as long as there is enough head room like the regular RDX to sit in the back.
