Outside Temp gauge stuck

Anyone having there outside temp gauge get stuck for awhile, mine usually gets stuck at like 71 for the first 5-15 minutes of driving then it will start to adjust slowly, not sure if there is something wrong or it’s just programmed weird

It only takes mine 2 or 3 minutes to get to ambient temperature when driving.

Seems like some days it’s quick to update, others it sits for awhile stuck at a temp that is about 10 degrees off

I forget where, but there is an adjustment for the temp in the settings.....worth a try?

All my recent cars have done this when it is right after a car wash or a rain.

I've had this happen occasionally with every car. It usually clears the next time I start the car. If it doesn't, bring it up the next time you're at the dealer. Personally, I wouldn't bring it in for just this.

The outside air temperature indicator has several internal modes that it selects depending on conditions. Some light reading is attached for your enjoyment.

Hi Carlos - did you get this issue resolved. I'm having a similar issue. I'm in Texas as well. My RDX won't seem to go above 94 degrees on the outside temp reading.

Not sure if you still have your Acura with the temperature problems, but it is easily fixed by replacing your ambient temperature sensor. This is a $20 part that is located directly behind the bumper and in front of the radiator. It's as big as a lighter, and as easy to replace as looking up under your bumper, unplugging the old one, and plugging in the new one. And just like that you will see your temperature correctly displayed in your car and your new sensor will allow the right amount of AC to pass through the cabin. There is a good YT video on replacing it, I did it in an RDX and saved hundreds from what a dealership would have charged:
