Off Engine but speakers still emitting sound? Is this normal?
Is this normal? Anybody have this problem? I have a 20 A-Spec and only 1800 miles, I noticed this last weekend when I was at a parking lot and the car was off and heard a crackling noise and its coming from all the speakers, like speakers are always on! What the H!

Like off-off? As in when you entered the car, not just before you left and the stereo was still on? That's strange. Maybe you have a loose wire.

I think this is because of the animation that comes out at the dash after you turn off the engine or maybe because of the fake exhaust note? The best way to check this sound is park on your garage, turn off the engine and get out the car and put your ear on the driver side speaker. For me even if I don't put my ear on the speaker, I can hear it from my seating position after turning off the engine.
Anyway, its really weird and worrying. I really don't want the dealership to start dismantling my interior and look for loose wire or bad connection. But I guess I have no choice.
Btw, car audio I think still sounds great! That is why I really want to know if anybody have this condition?

And it just goes on... forever? I'll check mine but that sounds messed up. You're probably right though that it's related to the animation or maybe to the ANC. If I were you I'd take it to the dealer though. A loose wire may get worse over time. Could be something as simple as a bad connection on the ANC or something.

Hey guys,
New 2020 RDX aspec owner here..I am noticing something very similar. Here is what I was able to determine so far. As soon as you open the driver side door the speakers activate, if you put your ear next to the silver els speaker you can hear a white noise. If you close the driver door and go to the passenger side the speakers are still 'activated'. Come back to the car in 5-10 min and open the passenger side door or any door other than the driver door - speakers are OFF. If you open the driver side door - back to step 1 - speakers activate. Called Acura and they said they WERE able to duplicate with another 2020 aspec on the lot. Can you guys give it a shot and see if your speakers are emitting the white noise as soon as you open the driver door? Thanks! Other than this, I am loving the car!!!
Thanks!

When you turn the sound off with the audio on/off button on the steering wheel, do the speakers still make noise? Mine don't. Also if you have audio playing when you turn off the engine, the audio continues on my car until you open the door.

I checked today and I don't have any sound coming from my speakers before I start the car. If I had to guess, I'd say that when you open the door the speakers are turned on for the welcome dash animation, and maybe there's something wrong with the connections somewhere that causes that static.
As far as I've noticed on these boards, this seems to be something with the A-Specs, not the Tech, so maybe it's particular to the way those extra speakers are wired.
