Looks really nice. How did they manage to get over 270 BHP from a 2.0 liter engine....? wow that's impressive. That's almost to the level of current RDX.

A very sophisticated turbo. That's how. I had a 1st generation turbo RDX which was rated 240 BHP and 260 LBS/FEET torque and the thing was fast. And only a 5-speed trans back then. I can't imagine what a beast this new 3rd gen RDX must be with 272 BHP and 280 Ft/Lbs torque mated to a 10 speed. Damn. Plus, all new SH-AWD.

But... it's a good power level for what it is. It can make you zoom to 100 mph faster than you'd think. And that's just the "base" engine
Keep in mind, Acura is rating the engine at 272 BHP... but.. seeing how Honda is with turbos these days, the engine is likely a bit under rated. I wouldn't be surprised if torque was closer to just over 300lbft, instead of the claimed 280lbft. Horsepower might be borderline 300BHP in reality. Shiiiiiet.

They only seem to show the A-Spec version of the car.

Not even. It's about average for a 2.0T. Mercedes pushes 360hp out of a 2.0T

Please get a pic showing the power seat controls and post it here. I can guess what the 12 way seats do, standard 8 way plus a 4 way lumbar support. But I don't know what the extra 4 ways do on the higher trim seats. Seats are always a problem for me, I am 6'8" tall.

We’re an Acura family (RDX, MDX and RLX) so we are looking forward to test-driving the new ‘19 RDX ... but if we love it we will wait for the second model year to wait out the first year Quality gremlins that Acura is so famous for. Famous? Errrrrr..... infamous!

Just a reminder about those that are Wow..ing...over the 272 hp. This is a Honda Motor Corp engine. Tuned differently, in the Accord with "stated less hp", but, the Civic Type R has 305 hp! Just a matter of tuning, turbo output, etc.
The 2nd Gen RDX was quicker than the first Gen...yes, it is....tested many times around the country, much to the chagrin of the Gen 1 folks. That V6 is much quicker than most give it credit for. I owned 3...2nd Gen RDX's.
The 3rd Gen engine/tranny combo should be even quicker than the outgoing Gen 2 V6. More torque along a much broader RPM range. I'm wanting to find out how much "turbo lag" it might have. 1st Gen had LOTS of it, and was
not fun to drive around town. But, I'm hearing that this new engine is strong, smooth esp. with the new 10 speed trans.
I have a white A-Spec coming on the first order from my dealer. One interesting feature I wasn't sure about it having....and I believe I have confirmed....that the A-Spec, and maybe all RDX's have a true "Heads Up Display." And it's
programmable.

lucky....LOL...but, also I think that Acura has really gone all out with wanting to be recognized as an innovator in it's cars...and they have a lot on the line with this new RDX. The engine has been around...just tuned differently in Honda
cars and SUV's. So, it's already tried and tested. I did the same and had one of the first 2013's....and I had no issues with it. My wife drove it every day and loved it. We had a 2016 Advance...no real issues, and I currently have a 2017
Tech...again, no issues. I'm not obligated on the '19 that I'm waiting for. I need to drive it and first issue is how smooth...or not...the turbo lag is with the new 10 speed trans. IF I really like the way it drives around town..then I will
take it. My GM, who is a good friend, said..."Your choice if you want it or not." I can sell it, so no problem there. The word he has received from those who have driven it....it is strong, smooth and the trans is a smooth quick shifting auto.
We'll see.

I bet that it is virtually the same engine/trans that is in the Accord. The Accord is rated with regular gas, and I bet the Acura is rated with premium. With the computers onboard nowadays, timing adjustments based on knock sensors are all that are needed to come up with different HP numbers. Even a mild tune would get you over 300HP.
