No Radio, Reboot Doesn’t Help

I’m getting repeated “radio not available” errors and other connection issues (no volume for Bluetooth, CarPlay connection issues maybe). Tried the three finger reboot several times to no avail. Any other solution?

Also, this happened the same day I had my oil changed by my local mechanic. Any chance that has anything to do with the problem? He would have done a reset on the device code but… would cause any issue if he somehow did it wrong?

This could be related to the TSB regarding connectors in the infotainment system components http://www.urvi.net/forumfiles/SB/B21-009.PDF

Yeah I had the dealer look at it today and he said it's totally TSB related. They have the part on order but I can't get it fixed before I have to leave for my trip to Maine... 20 hours of driving round trip and I've got to do it with a malfunctioning audio system.

Oh well at least the dealer experience was great - they picked up the car at noon, had it back to me by 5, great communication. Anyone in the NYC area should totally shop at Paragon.

Does the Aux jack under the middle console work? You could use the XM app, albeit with the data charges.

Honestly I forgot it had an Aux jack. I think I got rid of all my cables and adapters years ago, unfortunate. Might have to dig in my big box of tech junk….

You could always just dig out your 1970s boom box, sit it on top of your suitcase, and cycle through your old cassette mix tapes… 🕺🏻😎

Eat a lobster at a lobster pound rather than a restaurant. Maine blueberries are way better than Jersey blues, so make sure to have some blueberry pie for dessert. Maine shrimp are small and not worth it. Fried scallops and fried clams, whole ones, sometimes called bellies, NOT strips are another Maine meal.

stop off at the New Hampshire state liquor store on the way home for good prices if you drink.

Thanks - lobsters were airway on the menu and we’ll keep an eye out for blueberries. The wife and I have a tradition of blueberry pies for our anniversary, so maybe we’ll celebrate that a little early.

Good luck getting the radio issue resolved. Some key remembrances of Maine: Lighthouses along the picturesque coast, blueberries along the road, fresh seafood, fog, and every other car is a Subaru. I remember Maine, and Mainers, both having a very unique character. Nice place. Enjoy.

(Last I heard, you need a reservation to visit Cadillac for the sunrise. Something to consider if that was on the itinerary. It's become a big deal, apparently)

Yeah, sadly, MANY National Parks are starting to require reservations for entry, or shuttle rides into areas that used to be accessible by car. Crowds.

A quick check here: https://www.nps.gov/search/?affiliate=nps&query=acadia might help. You can type in any of the National Parks.
