Multiple AcuraLink or HondaLink IDs

Multiple AcuraLink or HondaLink IDs

Anyone have a Honda to go along with their Acura? Do you use different accounts for AcuraLink and HondaLink, or do you use the same login details? I bought a Honda Ridgeline today, and wondering if there are any issues since we already have an AcuraLink ID. I recall when we got the RDX, I had a problem getting AcuraLink to work. At that time, I had signed up using the same ID we had used on the HondaLink app for the CRV that we traded in, and it caused issues and I had to contact Acura customer service to get it to work.

I have had issues with this and have never found a solution. Our problem started when I first got into Honda link on my wife's car six years ago. The short of it is Honda will not let me modify or update the account so my RDX shows up under my wife's name and I am forced into the same account. I have called about this but can not kill the old account and start a new one on my RDX.

This doesn't sound like a company that would want to encourage multiple Honda households.

AcuraLink/HondaLink can use the same login information if you prefer to do so. I do not know if this is still true, but back in 2019, the name you entered when creating the AcuraLink/HondaLink account needs to be exactly the same as the one your salesperson typed into the system, otherwise A/HLink have trouble linking the account to the car.

Whether it is Acura Link, Honda Link or Honda Finance once I registered 5 years ago I was not able to change name, email or login information without multiple contacts with “customer service”. Not a good example of encouraging customers to use their services.
