Liftgate issue

Seems the liftgate is not responding to hitting either button or using the key fob. Any ideas? 2022 RDX. TIA

Do you hear the latching mechanism releasing and it just won't lift, or nothing at all? If the motor isn't releasing no matter which method is used, then perhaps check your fuses first, and then move on to the motor itself. There is a manual release that you can access from the inside of the car to open it if needed.

No sound from the mechanism. Aren’t there multiple fuse boxes?

my car is under warranty for another month, so a visit to the dealer is my option.

Oh, yeah if you're under warranty then just let them do their job. There are a few different fuse locations, so you'd need to figure out which one the tailgate is wired to and where its located. I definitely wouldn't be going through all that if I had someone else that would do it for free.

It is the tailgate latch. Supposedly a short in the mechanism? Parts ordered. No charge. Thanks for your time!
