Key Fob Cover/Protector

Has anyone found a decent key fob cover/protector for the 2019 RDX without a remote start button on the fob? My old 2009 TL fob is pretty beat up.....

Whoa - those are great looking. Especially like that they look but actually are not metallic (which could ding or be dinged). Wish they would make a 5-button version for those of us who have or plan to get Remote Engine Start.

I'd be in for a couple if they made a 5-button version.

Has anyone found a nice alternative for the 5-button fob to date? Just got the 4 button, which is nice, but I'm now getting a remote start installed. Thanks :-)

This is what I put on my wife's remote start (5-button) fob. We also have them on the original 4 button fobs, and I have similar jackets on my F250 key. Don't know why I buy them for every key but having a scratched up fob annoys me.

The 5 button key is large enough without adding an even larger hard shell protective case, which is why I prefer the rubber jackets.

I just ordered one too.

Is there some secret to getting it on? I thought I would figure it out when it gets here.

Do the key fobs have a history of breaking/damaging/malfunctioning if dropped, or are you folks using cases mainly to avoid scratches from other items in your pocket?

I have never had a key fob protector or any of my previous non-Acura cars and I dropped those key fobs many times and didn't have any issues with them.

To me, it is mainly to prevent scratches and such, since it is with my keys in my pocket.

In the past, I had a 2103 RDX, and the key fobs were getting excessively scratched up.

No, not really a secret to getting it on, i just assumed ht would be similar to putting an iPhone case on however, since it wraps around more of the key FOB, its just a bit more difficult to stretch around the corners. I put the thicker part in first then sorta just forced the other corners in... my worry was that it was just going to break or tear apart at the seam..but no worries. this thing seems pretty durable. I'll probably take it off in a few months because i dont like that smooth, rubbery, plastic feel...but oh well, it will keep it nice for a while..

To prevent all the drops of the FOB i was experiencing, and the reason i bought this case, I just ordered a small clip thing and i clip the FOB to a belt loop or back pack...

The older fobs like your 2009 and my 2014 were a piece of crap and look like crap after a few years. The new fobs are of much higher quality and they do not wear out the same, so likely no need.

Just because you are paranoid, it doesn’t mean they are not out to get you.

Bought a Silicon cover and very satisfied with it. pay 1.99$ USD from China
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/For-Acura-MD...72.m2749.l2649

fit like a glove, does not add bigger feeling, anyway the remote is already monster.... dust stick on it a little as you can see in picture, have a back opening like Apple cases for the logo.
I recommend this buy!

Just got these - the absolute best $1.99 each + shipping I have ever spent. The amber & green lights actually shine through, they fit great, and they even feel good :-)

Nice. I like the matte look, makes the fob look less plasticiky. Only worry is lint attractions

I have had the same cover for a few months now.

It is great, but you are right about lint. However, it wipes away easily and can also just be rinsed with water if it really gets dirty.

I would still highly recommend!

When you order the remote start option, you get the 5 button fobs plus the original 4 button ones.
