Headlights: Auto bright/dim

This might have been covered before and if so, sorry for repeating.

I discovered that if you pull the turn signal stalk towards you, it will toggle the auto dim/auto bright feature on or off and you'll see the indicator on the right side of the MID change

How do you just flash the high beams, to signal someone it’s their turn at a stop sign, etc.?

Push the stalk forward to manually turn on high beams but didn't check to see if it flashed the highs on and off by pulling it towards me.

I just read this today while waiting for mine to arrive.

P. 192 OM: If needed, you can temporarily turn the system off manually. Turn on the high beams by pushing the lever forward until you hear a click, or flash the high beams once by pulling the lever toward you. To turn the system back on, repeat one of the procedures.
P. 193 OM: Disable or re-enable the system when the vehicle is parked with the power mode in ON and the light switch is in the AUTO position. Disabling the system: Pull the light switch lever toward you and hold it for at least 40 seconds. The auto high-beam indicator in the meter will blink twice. Re-enabling the system: Pull the light switch lever toward you and hold it for at least 30 seconds. The auto high-beam indicator in the meter will blink once.

Is the auto high beam fairly benign to oncoming traffic? One of my pet-peeves is other drivers who drive with their high beams on all the time and blind me. I passed some late model luxury cars with blindingly bright lights that don't dim and I assume they should have auto dim. I personally wouldn't use it unless it was sensitive enough to dim reliably to not blind oncoming traffic.

Catman70 posted a video on YouTube (and here somewhere) showing the hi-beams in action. I can speak from experience they work very well. Fast switching so I don’t think the other drivers were blinded.

I noticed when you turn the tip of the stalk the lights go out momentarily- is that maybe the flash mode?

The brights will flash when you pull the stalk towards you as well as toggle the auto bright

Go to 3:12 in video. It covers how well the auto-high beam works.

Yeah I saw you video on Youtube a couple of days ago. I've watched all of your RDX videos and love them because they cover different types of things from every other video review. I could see the high beam switch quickly, but it was a little bit difficult to see how well the headlights lit up the road due to it being cut off by the top of the camera image and the movement of the image. It seems like you are hand holding your phone to take these driving videos, so please be careful, don't want you to get in an accident.

Thanks for the videos..

I also think this only works when you are driving above a certain speed, like 45 MPH...is that right?

Mine turned on in my neighborhood last night! Less than 30mph. Had to toggle the stalk to turn off
