Getting your car into Sport Plus mode in a 2022 RDX

No more sports plus mode in your 2022 RDX Dynamic Mode Dial, Dealer told me to put your 2022 RDX into Sports mode with the Dynamic Mode Dial, then hit the "S" button in the center console (Drive to Sports Drive button). It works but I don;'t think it gives you the heavier steering that the 2019 to 2021 did in Sports Plus mode.

I don't think that's the same thing, the S mode seems extremely torque happy, much more than the Sports Plus mode was in my 2019 or my wife's 2021. I was under the impression that Sports mode in the 2022 was similar to Sports Plus mode in prior models, but I drove my wife's 2021 today and her Sports Plus mode seems just a bit more peppy than my 2022 in Sports mode.

I had a 2019 RDX ...sports Plus was way more higher revs and heavier steering then regular
sport mode in my 2022... I didn't like the higher revs but the heavier steering was great on curvy roads ... in my 2022 ... in sports mode .. selecting the "S" button makes the revs very similar to my 2019 sports plus mode but steering isn't as heavy //// my 2 cents

It’s my understanding that the old Sport is now Normal and the old Sport+ is now Sport. The shift points have been tweaked as well.

I had a 2022 Acura RDX ASPEC Advance, and whatever the mode, I found that it was at least as quick as any of the numbers the magazines posted from the older cars. Sport mode was pretty well tuned, to be honest.

unless you owned a 2019 to 2021 and then a 2022 ... it's hard to compare ... just put the car in sports mode on the 2022 then hit the "S" button and you will see much higher revs like what I remember from the 2019 Sports plus mode ... anyone here have both a 2022 and used to have a 2019 to 2021 ... would be interested in your thoughts

I test drove a 2019. I much preferred the 2022 Sport mode. It was actually sensible. The 2019 was just overdone. Like, if Civic Type R body cladding were a tune, this would be it. A lot of annoyance. The 2022 was more like what you expect form BMW or Audi. Much more refined and sensible and all of the performance benefits with none of the childishness.

Regular "Sports" mode is the best. The old Sport+ mode holds the shifts and doesn't like to shift into to gear by itself. A pure waste of time to me, as this is a "sporty suv" not a "sports suv". Pushing the drive button to engage manual sport mode, means you have to use the paddle shifters and the little 4-banger turbo will rev much higher. Also - it will get a lot worse MPG and not be any quicker.

Sport mode is crisper shifts, throttle response and more weight to the steering wheel (in a non-adaptive suspension RDX).

Sport+ seems to be a label that Acura is reserving to Type-S models now. The TLX and MDX Type-S both list "Sport+" on the Drive Mode selector as an exclusive feature.
