Ok perhaps not as good as a regular summer detail, but it sure felt good to get this bad boy at least cleaned up a little bit. First wash since mid-October, so he's had plenty of time to play in rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, mud and thunderstorms. Hey, it's the Pacific Northwest so we're not even close to being done with nasty weather, but I had to do SOMETHING on the first full day of sun and partly cloudy weather and no rain for at least 10 days. I should have taken "Before" photos - it was not recognizable. Anyway, applied the Meguiar's Tire Gel and a coat of spray wax and Rain-X for the windshield. Little disappointed that the black-coated lug nuts are beginning to rust in places from tire rotations. Oh well, first-world problems. After 23,400 miles (2020 Advance) he still rides like new; everything is working properly. Looking forward to giving it it's first in-depth detail this Spring.
Looking good! Mine has been getting a bath on almost a weekly basis. Every time we get an inch of snow around here they put down brine followed up by a half inch of salt (ok, maybe just a little exaggeration), and I hate that corrosive crap all over my vehicles. So as soon as temps raise above freezing I use an undercarriage sprayer and give it a bath.
I wash mine in winter, but wait until temp is above freezing. I do not use car-washes due to swirls and micro scratches. Also use under carriage sprayer in winter

100%.
My Advance will never experience the inside of automated car wash. I have, however, taken it to a do-it-yourself wash, but I've brought my own sponge and bucket and bring my own towels. Even being as careful as I am, I do see some holograms, halos and spiderwebs that need to be polished off.

Yes, there is pretty much nothing worse you can do your paint. We use to have a very good 'touchless' one by us, but for some reason they converted it to the swirly mops of paint death. I asked one of the guys who was in our hood that does the 'come to you' car washes how much he charged...it was only $35. I think that is the direction I will go.
