Thumbs up First mountain trip review.

Today was a beautiful clear day, so I decided I wanted to bring the RDX through its paces, and go up the Rocky Mountains.

I've taken a BMW X3, Audi Q5 and a Volvo XC60 T6 AWD through the Rockies. Going to give the best ride to the RDX. It was an incredibly smooth, quiet, and most of all, a very fun ride. Going up really steep portions of the mountain the turbo 2.0L just loved it. I was able to easily pass when I needed to, and had a lot of control through the twists and turns.

Where other cars were struggling the RDX shined.

I think the second place car would be the X3. The Q5 and XC60 just don't feel quite right. I've always felt like the Q5/XC60 feel like I'm driving through mud when it's being pushed... it's not a fun feeling.

Comparing

A nice clearing.

Salmon!

Here's a video of some passes through the Rockies. You can literally feel the car not struggling at all, and just see how easy it was to pass while being in control. All this was going up hill.

Nice area to live - post some clips when it's snow covered.

Just a suggestion but a polarizing filter for the dash cam will get rid of a lot of those reflections.

nice video. Did you use LKAS? @12:33:44 it almost went over yellow line. I can see you were passing the vehicle on your right and that might be reason but wanted to check.

My dash cam makes it look that way, but was way in the lines. I probably should move my dash cam around.

I'm using a DDPai Mini 3, it's similar to those round BlackVue's or the ThinkWare style ones.

I mounted to the right side of the mirror. In the area marked in red here.
