Ebay roof rails and cross members

Has anyone purchased the Ebay roof rails and cross members ? They seem very cheaply priced, but not sure of quality and fit.

You should include the link to them on eBay.

I don't think I would use anything less than an Acura factory rail. Shop around, there are dealers and wholesalers who sell the factory part discounted below what your local dealer may want

Weird, don't see the option to edit first post, but here's the ebay link... one he'll of a bargain. I agree OEM is the best way, but I'm up I'm Canada 🇨🇦 and the cost to get them here is crazy!

Ebay link

The option to edit goes a way after a few minutes of posting. Maybe 10-15 minutes?

Yes, I bought mine from eBay. There are a couple of Acura dealers on there who sell at lower prices than your local dealer. Curry Acura is one of them. My crossbars came from acuradeals and the roof rails came from newacuraparts. Both are OEM parts. The crossbars are produced by Thule and rebranded with Acura logos.

ebay is worth it

I bought aftermarket roof rails from Ebay, for $200. The cheapest price I could find for OEM parts was around $450, IIRC. The roof rails fit fine, but, as always with aftermarket parts, there were some small issues.

First, they came without the plastic plugs for the holes where the crossbar pins go. No big deal, I found online something that fit perfectly: "uxcell Hole Plugs Black Plastic 6mm Snap in Locking Hole Tube". $6 for a bag of 50.

Second, I broke a couple of the barrel nuts, while trying to install the roof fails. Again no big deal, I found a replacement online: "binifiMux 10-Pack M6 x 15mm Hex Socket Head Cap Bolt and Barrel Nut for Furniture". $8 for a pack of 10. I'm not sure if the barrel nuts that came with the roof rails were of low quality, or if it was entirely my fault.

Third, the rubber piece that goes between the roof rail and the car's roof is slightly bent at the rear end of one rail, so it doesn't make perfect contact with the roof (it's lifted by about 2-3mm). This is a minor cosmetic issue.

Overall, however, I'm very happy with the purchase and I think the price difference is large enough to justify going with the aftermarket alternative.

I bought the OEM cross bars (also from Ebay) since I care more about their fit, finish and quality. They matched perfectly with the roof rails and they seem to be very robust and quiet.

One piece of advice - get a torque screwdriver (e.g. from HomeDepot), since you'll need it both to install the roof rails and each time you install the crossbars.

Hello guys,,
I'm reviving this post, I'm thinking to buy a 4 pcs kit roof rails and cross bars on Amazon / ebay / AliExpress. I live in Canada and the OEM kit is almost 2000$ that's why I think to go with aftermarket china.
I know that fitment is not as good as OEM but I'm ready to deal with that since I pay 1/4 of the OEM price.

i'm talking about this kit:
does anyone have ordered, any opinion ?? .. the kit is 500$ VS oem 2000$

I personally would go OEM, I read about fitment issues... ended up purchasing mine from Curry Acura

Yes, I've found possibility to order from USA but they charge 300$+ of shipping for only the rails. another possibility is to drive to USA and by it from a dealer over there.

I was able to find some reviews on aftermarket kit and some talk about fitment and other say everything is perfect.. so I'm trying to get a real review from someone that can give more info and I will be able to take descision on aftermarket or OEM..
