I saw several RDX coming to dealer with color combinations that do not seem available online. When doing a customer order get you request an exterior/interior combination that is not standard?

 

What exactly do you see? What exterior and interior color combinations?

 

you cant custom order a combo that isnt available on acuras site
the person inputting the car on the dealer page might have input wrong or the vins are so new that inbound vehicles dont match acuras templates for a dealer yet

when i pulled vins for my 2022 parts to order i confirmed by going and seeing the car in the lot so i was sure i wasnt ordering the wrong parts

 

Thanks. I saw the violet with gray interior (which would have been great). Was hoping since I don't really like black.

 

After ordering a 2022 RDX Advance, it is my understanding that Acura does not allow custom orders. Everything goes by allocations. You dealer will use one of their monthly allocations to configure external and internal colors to meet your desires, if at all possible. If they cannot use one of their allocations, they will try to exchange an allocation from another dealer, who has your color combination.

Our dealer was able to change one of their allocations to meet our desired colors. Acura approved the color change in the allocations.

Our dealer put in the allocation last month with an expected build date of January and delivery in February. Start early!

 

you sure it wasnt the ebony? they dont really have a black, it's more of a grey.

 

Violet only come with the Ebony interior. Likely it looked gray but was Ebony. I have been wanting to see that color on the street.
