Cruise Control question

I have a 2022 RdX ASpec Advanced with 4,155 miles on it. Cruise control does a great job at keeping the speed 1 mph less than the speed I have set. Rarely is the set speed and current speed match. My wife has an Infiniti with HUD and it is dialed into the set speed. Is this just the way it is with the RDX? I had a TLX for years and it was not like this. Thx.

I've noticed the same on my 2020 Advance. 90% of the time it runs 1 mph below, 10% it's right on. My guess is that it builds in a bit of cushion to avoid needing to break every time you head down a hill, but who knows?

Same here with my 22 RDX, 1mph lower.

My other cars (2020 MDX and 2002 RSX) hits the target speed. But I recall about half my Honda's over the decades did 1mph lower, just like the 22 RDX.

My 2017 Accord V6 Touring hits and hold set speed…

My ‘20 (now gone) and ‘22 RDX Advances are both less precise at holding the set speed. (Radar function disabled)
