clock is off
clock is off
2023 RDX Tech AWD with latest infotainment software
I'm in the US-CA.
"Automatic Date & Time" is set to "On"
Yet my clock is off by 3 hours and 20-40 minutes (the minutes keeps changing when I restart the car).
Anyone else have this problem?
Two samples
Actual time 7:51 pm -> Car showing 4:09 pm
Actual time 7:20 pm -> Car showing 4:02 pm
I tried flipping the switch from "On" to "Off" and then back to "On".
Where does it get the time?
Anyone else face this?

That's odd., I need to go look at the menu interface to see what settings are there.
Can you sync it to GPS time, or connect to Wifi and reset it then and see?
If it was even hours I'd say it was some timezone setting but the minutes being off is weird.

Turns out every time I turn the car on, the clock resets itself to 4:00 and starts ticking from there. I had a hunch that is what was going on because when I got in the car today and noticed the time a few minutes after driving it was 4:03. And I remembered seeing 4:xx a lot yesterday.
Today, it also threw an error when I tried to restart the car at a traffic light:
com.honda.auto.datetime.DateTimeApplication isn't responding.
I tried the 3 finger salute soft reboot but it didn't help.
I haven't tried a hard reboot yet since I don't want to go through setting everything up again like I would have to in a new car (bluetooth pairing and who bunch of other settings like ambient lights, etc.). I am taking the car in again for the AIS issue on Monday, so dealer might do it anyway.
(Not sure why the thumbnail is showing an upside down image. Anyone? Anyway, it's unlikely I'd be able to fix it before I lose the ability to edit this message.)
As you can tell, actual time (from iPhone) is about 3:07 (4 minute arrival time is showing 3:11), but the car infotainment shows 4:01. This was taken at a traffic light after I restarted the car at a previous traffic light.

I had this issue happen on my 2023. I think in my case the time kept resetting to 6am and the NAV location wouldn't update. The fix per the dealer was a new infotainment unit. I have heard that if you disconnect the battery, that also allegedly fixes the issue.
I'm Central. I didn't notice the map thing right away either. I was only clued in when the compass in the IP was not indicating the correct direction and the not changing.
Then the time difference makes sense because 6 central = 4 pacific. I also checked the nav (remembered only when I was at a stoplight), and it was showing my car still at home.

Good news is if they end up replacing your infotainment unit its relatively quick. Took less than 90 min. A few setting had to be changed, but no issues regarding the Acuralink system.
They said they need to replace the infotainment unit. They are keeping the car overnight because they don't have the part in stock.

Got my car back. A nice side effect of the replacement was that I now have full screen Apple CarPlay!
(I have no idea why AZ takes my pictures and makes the thumbnail upside down.)
