I typically clean battery terminals every fall but I've been lax with my 2022 RDX. Please take note of the attached photograph. All my vehicles in the past have had the terminal bolt perpendicular to the battery post so that once the bolt was loosened the battery terminal clamp simply lifted and that allowed access to the post and the internal area of the clamp. On my 2022 there are two bolts at each terminal and the bolts are parallel to the post. Is there any particular sequence of slacking off the bolts? Is any form of a puller needed to lift the clamp off the terminal?
My wife is driving our 2020 so I can’t run out and see what ours looks like, but I think you will want to loosen, and possibly remove, the bolt on the right side in your photo. The one with the red wire attached.
If you remove that bolt I think you’ll be able to see that the cable terminal is split on that side and can be loosened from the battery terminal with a flat blade screwdriver, etc.
There is a little tapered “cradle” on the bottom that accomplishes the pinching of the terminal as the bolt is tightened.
