Higher amounts of molly present in Honda factory oil, maybe its designed to be there for first oil change to allow for proper engine break in, we will never know.

Ah yes...the good old days.

And then there were the 1500 mi oil change intervals and points, plugs & condenser every few thousand miles.

...and the vintage days where my dad and I drove up to a Mobil station for a fill up in our '65 Chevelle and the attendant popped the hood and checked the oil and radiator.

Honda had always said to not be too quick to make that first oil change. The guidance was to drive moderately, vary engine speed, don’t redline it, no jackrabbit starts. Let everything settle in. After 600 or so miles you could go up and down the rev range.

Thanks everyone. I've been driving the new car at various speeds around town. Got on the highway once and just passed 666 miles.

I won't get too crazy until 1000 miles
