The Automatic "park" and car washes

The RDX automatically puts itself in park when you unbuckle and open the door. The owner manual says that you can keep in neutral (so it can be run through a car wash) by pressing neutral a second time and holding it for 4 seconds. That seems pretty complicated for your average car wash attendant. Does anyone have experience with taking your RDX to the car wash?

Interesting. I didn't know that. I just drop it like usual and they wash it. It's been a non-issue for me, but I don't know if it's because I have above-average car wash guys or they're all good at figuring that out.

Yes. But I take it to a hand wash place and sit in the car anyway.

I think those instructions show up in the info area when you put it in neutral, and you do it, not the car wash attendant.

I just get out and re-buckle the seatbelt.
It stays in Neutral.

I work at a carwash, although the automatic kind that causes swirls, and auto features like auto parking brake, wipers and people without common sence that either hold the brake amd jump the rollers or driving over the rollers into the tunnel wash can be a pain in the arse... Yeah... I know... And I know I'm F-ing up everyone's paint with a scrub brush...
