Any RDX PMC owners encounter problems yet?
Just curious if there's been any infotainment or limp mode or brake problems as a lot of other RDX owners have encountered. There's still a couple of PMC models on the market and if nothing, it could be a potential consideration while it's still in dealerships.

The brakes backing down my driveway feel a bit squishy and weak even while moving slowly, but I've not experienced a problem when actually driving and having to stop, including high-speed highway driving. Then again, I traded a 75K Jaguar SUV for my PMC, so I'm a bit spoiled. I know what outstanding brakes really feel like. So far, that is my only picky complaint. I knew this car would not come close to being as powerful. I'm too old to play racer-boy anymore. I like my PMC. I get a lot of compliments about the color. The infotainment overall is okay if a bit awkward at times, but the sound is OUTSTANDING. The stereo sound is better than what I had in my Jag. Love it.

I've had mine since December 2020 and I've had no issues. Just had my first service last week.
If I start to have issues with the brakes, I will upgrade to new pads and drilled/slotted rotors unless I have the BBK installed before then.

The parts are all shared, so any issues you see with other trims of the RDX will also be problematic with the PMC. The brakes will squeak, some seem to get it worse than others. I get it from time to time in my '20 A-Spec, but usually only after sitting overnight. It doesn't bother me, but it sounds like others deal with it constantly. It could be more about braking habits than anything.
Knock on wood, I have never had an infotainment issue or limp mode. I don't fuss around with the infotainment much tho, and limp mode seems to be from a fuel pump issue, so hopefully that's sorted.
If you can deal with that color and you're not paying over sticker, I'd say go for it.

That being said, if you don't like the embarrassment of people looking over at you when your brakes squeal, a bright orange car may not be the best color choice of vehicle.
I kid, I kid. Kind of ... I could never do a color that loud, but different strokes ...

My PMC brakes do not squeak or squeal. The only time I hear the brakes is while backing out of my garage. The first time I lightly press the brake pedal there is a "groan" rather than a squeal, as if the car was just waking up. I never hear it again until the next time I back out of my garage. It's very strange. Maybe I don't drive the car enough? I bought the car in early February. It is now the last week in May. I just hit 1,000 miles.

I have about 9000 miles on mine and the only issue I've had was going in to limp mode after flooring it while going up a freeway entrance ramp in a heavy rain. Apparently not a rare issue.

EDIT: I think Service Bulletin 20-053 is the one. see:https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...letins-988390/

Have you had it to the dealer for this? There are at least one (maybe more) TSBs that seem to be intended to address this.

Just make sure you verbally bring it up. I just brought the vehicle in for warranty service and got a service write-up saying there's no TSB or recalls for my vehicle. Yet, I know of multiple TSBs and recalls for my listed VIN thanks to this site and even got mail notice about the crackling/popping coming from the speakers due to a poor connection to the infotainment. Not even a question of if I was having the issues, but they did try to upsell me useless shit I didn't need. Gotta love that quality of service.

It's when the car completely loses speed and you'd have to restart the car to get rid of the problem temporarily. Normally people have been experiencing it on freeways/highways during acceleration, and more happenings during rainy weather. Most of the happenings were for the 2019 model, less with '20, '21. It's happened to other cars years back, can youtube or do a bit of googling for some relevant incidents.

The layman's explanation is the car's computer has identified a problem with the engine, transmission or computer/emissions system that might cause harm to the vehicle, so it goes into a mode called "Limp Mode", that allows the driver to "limp" to a safe place, rather than shutting down completely. It cuts fuel and speed. I think all modern cars have this.
Like you twist your ankle, your limp to a chair until you feel better or get help.
I bet @hans471 can explain it better than I.
