Is Android Auto Freezing or Google Maps Freezing ?

I have found while navigating that I get the map on screen initially on AA, but then it wont update as I am driving. This has happened multiple times in the last few weeks.
At no other time does AA freeze or lag for me. I have the maps downloaded on my phone...so...not sure what the issue is. Has anyone run into this with google maps ?
I know I can use the car GPS but that is trash in comparison to google maps (when it works)

I found wireless is more reliable for freezes then wired. Try wireless.

No, surprsingly wireless seems to be more fault tolerant.

Freezes haven't happenned to me, except when I was in Android Auto beta. Maybe check your phone software and google play for any software updates, and make sure you disenroll from any android auto or google map betas. And of course reboot your phone.
