Is there no way to fit the 22+ camera into the 19-21 bracket with the washer?

 

To have the best of both worlds, my guess is you need to swap in the 22+ infotainment screen. The display unit only overlays the guidelines, and does not apply any post-processing. So the guidelines in 22+ display unit must be calibrated for the distortion and offset on 22+ camera.

 

Interesting that they made so many subtle upgrades that people wouldn't even notice unless side by side. It feels like the 22+ RDX is what the 19 RDX should have been. Do we have confirmation that the 22+ has upgrades processors?

Yes, but you need to connect the washer tube and get used to the slightly crooked guide lines. On the plus side, you get the washer and better video quality, both daytime and nighttime.

Does this part 39530-TJB-A11 include the camera and washer? Will it be a plug and play and then it is a matter of getting the tubes/connectors?

Do you have to 'DIY' the connector? i.e. Male/Female.

Yes plug-n-play. All you need to do it the plumbing.

 

Yes the big upgrade changed started in 2022!. My first RDX was a 2019 RDX Advance but I wanted the Apec look. In 2022, rhey offered the Apec Advance and I bought one of the very first ones built. The upgrades and fixes between these 2 Advance features were noticeable. I wont say groundbreaking but it was everything I needed and bugs resolved. That RDX worked without issues and had no plans to get rid of that 2022 until I had an accident. I can see upgrades in software and a few minor updates in the 2026 RDX Aspec Advance as well.
