AcuraLink App Problems for 2019-2020 RDX
My Remote access happened to expired on the Feb. 24th & AcuraLink app stopped showing even the basic data of my car, such as fuel gauge, oil life, & mileage.
When I saw that I reentered my Vin # but what I now see is information from several days ago not today. WTH!! Calling them made matters worse. They told me I have to pay for even the basic. That’s bull. My understanding is that Basic features are free & if I want Remote its $110 for the year, like I paid last year after the trial period ended.
I believe what I’m experiencing a hiccup as a result of AcuraLink’s 2/21/20 update. I have not tried deleted the app & reinstalling it. has anyone else had this issue & if so, did you find a fix?

Several others have experienced similar issues in the past and the solutions have varied. The rep you spoke to is giving you the run around. Basic is FREE. Use the search feature on this site and search for AcuraLink App. Several threads should show up and hopefully you answer is there.

I think the app's Basic (complimentary) features are of little use. If I didn't keep the Remote subscription, I'd probably just uninstall the app and not bother. But, if you really want it, call them again and bitch about it. Then call again and bitch some more. Eventually, you might get someone to help you instead of bullshitting you.

I only pay for the remote service, but Acura keeps messing around with the various features. Originally, tire pressure was supposedly part of basic, but there is no mention of it on the Acuralink web site, and I’ve been told it’s now part of the security package. The “send destination” to car no longer works for me unless the car is on. Other than the remote start feature, which generally works for me, the app has been a frustrating experience.

Yeah, the website says Basic includes Semd Destination to Car. That used to be part of the remote package. And the site doesn't say but I hear that tire pressure is now part of the Security package. That makes no sense.
My Security package is set to expire today. Its my car's birthday.

I can confirm that tire pressure is part of the Security subscription because it just disappeared from my app as the subscription expired.
Those greedy bastards.
So did the Locked / Unlocked status. How dumb is that? The Remote subscription allows me to lock and unlock the car but no way to confirm ir.

If you don't have active subscriptions, "send destination to car" works, but only if you connect your phone to the car with bluetooth. Gotta read the fine print for that one.
How about lying greedy bastards?

The tire pressure and lock status reappeared yesterday and, of course, they renewed the Security subscription without asking me and without my explicit approval. I called them to straighten them out and by the time the call ended, the shit was gone.
