Acura NOT honoring Pull Ahead program for '19 RDX
Hello everyone. I am reaching out to see if anyone here has had the same experience that I recently had.
I received a few emails and then a bailout regarding the Acura "Pull Ahead" program, where they waive the final 3 payments of your lease, forgive mileage and some damage if there is any and waive a security deposit on a new car. I am an appropriate candidate for this program as I am over my mileage and have 3 payments to go, and am interested in a new Acura, specifically the 2019 RDX.
I went to the dealer and they told me that the '19 RDX is not part of that program. So, I went home and reviewed the fine print on the bailout, and there is nothing that indicated that the offer is limited to specific models or model year. The way I see it is that Acura is simply not honoring the offer. I was 100% ready to make this deal! Very frustrating!!!
So, is there anyone else here that has experienced the same thing, or similar? If so, have you contacted anyone at Acura? Any help at all here would be greatly appreciated.

I would go to another dealer. This was from https://www.bridgewateracura.com/lease-maturity-center/
? Do customers have to sign new AFS lease contracts to qualify for Pull Ahead benefits?
Qualified customers can sign a new AFS lease, retail or LPP contracts on any new Acura vehicle and get Pull Ahead benefits.
? Do clients have to sign new AFS contracts on another ILX, TLX, RLX, RDX and MDX to get the Pull Ahead Program?
No. Qualified customers can choose any new Acura vehicle and get Pull Ahead benefits. They do not have to choose the same model they are currently driving.

+1 for going to another dealership. When I was shopping for the RDX one of the dealerships I went to said a lot of their RDX sales were early release from their current Acura leases, so it's definitely not excluded.

I was the dealer yesterday looking at a car and the sales guy I was speaking with told me that if I was leasing I use could use the pull ahead program.I dont lease so it doesn't apply to me. Try another dealer!

The dealer told me they tried it with a few customers and it was turned down. I did speak to a few people at Acura Customer Relations who told me that this was true. The 2019 RDX is not eligible for that program. So, I am sure it is not the dealer.
My problem with Acura right now is that they sent me an offer that they will not honor. I'll continue to try to contact people in AFS to see what can be done, but if they don't make good on the offer in the next few weeks, then I will just have to go to another brand.

Yes right now Acura is not doing any pull aheads for new 19 rdx leases. However, the mileage and damage forgiveness still applies if you lease another Acura, that’s part of the “Acura Luxury Lease”. It’s separate from the Pull Ahead program.

"I got an early release from a 2016 Honda CRV, 10 months early with 42,000 miles on it when we bought our 2019 RDX on 6/2, no penalty and nothing rolled in the purchase price of the new vehicle."

I also spoke to a dealer who said Pull Ahead doesn't apply to 2019 RDX. I have 2 payments left on my TLX so may only end up being that they eat 1 payment by the time I'm ready--going to wait for prices to come down which will hopefully be sooner than later.

I would imagine the dealer worked this out on their own given that it appears the Pull Ahead program does not apply. For better or for worse, individual dealers have a great deal of flexibility to run their businesses as they see fit.

They worked it out and I purchased the 2019 ( not leased) got their dealer added accessory packed taken off the price also.
Happy with the deal and very happy with the new ride for the wife. I still drive and love my 2017 Ridgeline RTL-E. great pair of vehicles

The dealer never mentioned the Pull Ahead program nor did I when negotiating with him. We had leased the prior 2 CRVs and both ran way over mileage and we never had to pay any overages as long as we leased another one. Prior to the CRVs we had 6 different Acura's so we had an established relationship with both brands. I told the Acura salesman that I would be fine walking next door to the Honda dealership and getting another CRV Touring for my wife if they couldn't get AHFC to forgive the mileage.

Add another $100 to my deal as I put $5,000 (dealers max limit) on my Cabelas Visa card to get the points. We pay CC bills off every month so no finance charge. Should have just about enough points for that motor home or cabin. LOL. When I bought the 2017 Ridgeline that Honda dealer let me put $10k on the Cabelas card. About the only slush fund I can hide from the HFO (Home Financial Office "wife").

I'm glad they got a good deal, but I'm sorry...no one is discounting a 2019 RDX that had literally just come on the lot $4000.00. Especially when there is about $2000.00 markup in the vehicle. Now it is possible that the dealer treated the lease turn-in as a trade and it ended up being worth more than the payoff. That's what happened on my last two leases. And it helped make the deal on the new vehicle more viable each time. But a $4000.00 discount? I don't think so.

I have some dealers asking MSRP and even the dealer I have bought 8 Acuras from said $500 off MSRP and then Acura kciks in $1K loyalty. The RDX is hot car so unitl lots are overflowing with them discounts will be rare. At lease on my 19 TLX I got about $4200 off MSRP

Is there any fine print on the offer? My dealer got blindsided and did a deal not knowing Acura would wave the payments and discovered it after contracts were done and car was delivered and had to eat the difference. I just mailed a letter to Honda CEO saying we may just get an Audi Q5 since they have some decent deals right now. If I had stalled 6 hours on my TLX I might have been in an A6 as Audi was taking $9600 off MSRP on a 18 A6.

You may be better off waiting a few months. I suspect demand will decrease, and better deals will be available then.
