2021 RDX- semi loud "peppering" like noise
I'm a newbie of a 2021 RDX with less than 3k miles. Has anyone experienced hearing a "peppering " like noise coming from the driver side door/window area near the seat belt? This happens when it's raining, so it makes me think that when rain drops come in contact with the plastic B pillar it generates this peppering sound..another way to describe it is to picture hail hitting metal/plastic.

Update
Yep, I contacted the dealership, we'll see what they say.
I originally thought that the sound was isolated to the driver side only but it's on both sides/cabin. And it appears that the sound is produced while driving at 60+ mph on light to moderate rain. Just seems odd to have louder than usual noise.

Are you sure it's only when it's raining? I have a crackling noise over certain pavement types or bumps in the road (ie: fixed potholes) coming from that same area. It's annoying because it's literally from where your ear is. It's literally the exact spot you're talking about, but I hear it when it's bone dry.

leomio2.0, I know exactly what you mean by the noise hitting right by your ear area... it's precisely why I took notice.
My experience so far has only been when it's raining. I also tested driving with the raido off and moonroof closed to listen for other potential noises but nothing. The dealership stated that they haven't heard of any such complaints either. My next step will be to take a audio/video before I take it in to the dealership.

Also, next time it rains, check to see if your headliner is getting wet. It's a long shot, but I saw a couple people having drainage issues with their panoramic sunroofs. The noise could possibly be from that vicinity?

Check the window seal at the top edge of the window. Mine got pinched somehow and is being replaced under warranty because it got deformed past the point of being able to fix. I noticed a lot more wind noise at highway speeds. It could be possible that water is getting passed that seal if yours is pinched as well?
