Undercoating and road noise

Anybody get undercoating put on their RDX? Just wondering how it affects road noise.

I didn't think anyone did that these days -- most cars are already undercoated to some extent from the factory. That and more prolific use of galvanized steel has really cut down on the need for aftermarket undercoating. From what I heard, it actually caused as many rust problems as it claimed to cure, since it often trapped moisture in the wrong place.

For noise reduction, maybe look into putting dynamat under the carpet or in the doors. If you know the right locations, even small patches of it can be effective.

i did put under-coating on my RDX and also diamond Kote on the body.

i assume that the under-coating does make the reduce the noise going into the cabin.
