While having my RDX 2018 Advanced serviced noticed a good deal on RDX 2021 Advanced CPO (loaner, ~1100 miles, built in September) at 40,500. Decided to get as I someone else in my house needed a vehicle and would take over RDX 2018 had some. Initial thoughts

• Interior much nicer
• Wish center view had a shade like 2018
• Feels and is bigger
• Seats are very good. 2018 are really good too, but feel sure 3rd generation advanced once refined will be better
• Turbo lag not as bad as I expected
• Lack of remote start on remote bad decision on Acura
• Touchpad works fine for me. Would like a rotary dial too but it is fully usable for me. Only concern would be bumpy roads (hence like a dial and not a touch screen)
• Love the panoramic sunroof.
• Love the HUD
• Wish center stack was more configurage. On not have a fully digital cluster came to realize once you have a HUD it just doesn't seem to matter as much
• Camera button on end of windshied wiper great place.
• Getting used to buttons instead of shifter. The area open under center console is great for a purse (so said ex wife and girlfriend) who both wish there car had something like that
• Stereo is good but coming from 2018 not unbelievably better. Miss having a CD player (at least ripping to local device). Realize it makes sense though

Will add more thoughts later. This was over 3 days with light driving.

PS I was waiting for MDX 2022 but really RDX just seemed to click with me on my long test drive.

 

Additional thoughts:
Remote start from APP just might be worth it. Work well on trial. This would actually be more useful for me then the keyfob.
Testing stereo with 5.1 makes me appreciate it a lot more.
Center stack SH-AWD is good for me.
Really like that when you turn car off it automatically goes into park. Know it would stupid not to do but still appreciated.
SH-AWD is amazing! Really feels great on the curves and coming out of them

 

One of my favorite features of the app is that when it's remote started, it shows you a countdown timer with the option to extend as well as the interior temp.
