It looks like Lexus took the hint and just added a touchscreen...and beat the RDX in adding Android Auto. Maybe Acura will just throw in a touchscreen for the 2021 model?

But what a useless position for a touch screen. You literally have to lean all the way forward to even use it and no way you can do that while actually in motion. So IMO it would be a pointless change to make and there are far greater things to fix for rhe 2022 model year.

Also, the screen is an option.
And it is still the ugliest vehicle on the road.

I see an analog clock. That is a huge no-go for me.

 

Not going to happen. Acura invested a lot into TrueTouch. This will be in all their cars for a long time moving forward.

 

I dont' think touch screen is safe and user friendly especially looking at the location of the display.

 

Unsafe compared to their silly mouse-like interface? Definitely not.

 

I would think with Lexus finally getting Android Auto, this should light a fire under Acura to light a fire under Google to get it working on the RDX.

One would think Acura would be more on top of something like that seeing as they promised people it would be available when they purchased their vehicles A YEAR AGO. I understand this is more Google's fault vs Acura's but I would personally be furious if I was promised a feature and never given it. Period.
