2019 RDX A-Spec
Current owner of 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD. Loved the car but time for a change. Have been looking at the new 2019 RDX A-Spec and love everything but the Suede interior. Acura got everything right on this new model but Suede...seriously?! I would buy the car in an instant if they'd make a change to something I believe ruins the entire appearance, not to mention issues with stains and difficulty cleaning if it ever got dirty. If Acura could make this minor change this model would get a 10 out of 10 with the new technology package upgrade, responsive shifting and overall handling, not to mention the awesome 16 speaker sound system. Anyone agree with the need to change out the Suede? Hoping this message gets back to Acura
Welcome to the forums.
Since this is a topic/technical issue which will require replies, and not a "New Member Introduction", this thread has been moved to the model specific forum.
I deleted your other thread since it said the same thing as this one except for the poll.

It's actually not suede, but UltraSuede, which is a synthetic polyester microfiber. It looks and feels like suede, but it's breathable, maintains superior colorfastness, and should be at least as durable as suede. It's understandable if you don't like the look or the feel, but it's a far better seat upholstery than the real thing. It deserves a long test drive if you like everything else about the A-Spec.

I know that the looks can be subjective but I don't get the hate for suede, every use in car seats I have seen thus far held up really well and better than leather. Plus it is not as hot in the summer, etc.
I actually like the suede. The seats have more grip with it and you can feel the ventilated seat function much more through the suede. When I test drove a 2019 A-Spec TL with all suede in the middle section the ventilated seats felt like I always wished that they did in my 15 TLX
i like it on the seats. The dash is odd. I don’t worry about wear and tear. I drove solo for 99% of my driving. My tsx interior looks brand new except for the hole in the front carpets from my heel. You can see floor board 😂 I will definitely invest in all weather mats for the rdx. But back to the suede - it will be fine and probably wear better than a lot of leather seats.
