My 2020 A-Spec was $51,290 MSRP and I received a $4431.60 discount including the $1000 Acura customer incentive for a total amount of $49,361.14 including freight, PDI and cargo cover.
Thanks for this advice. I actually made a mistake and didn't get them to add the rear seat cover when I initially settled on the final price (only talked about the cargo mat). I called in a few days later and they added the rear seat cover (without a discount). I picked up my RDX yesterday, and the dealership/sales associate did surprise me as they adjust a few other line items to essentially give me a discount on the rear seat cover.

that’s a great price. I don’t have my number sin front of me but that’s below invoice I think.

Thank you. I think it is 500 above invoice based on unhaggle. I was not planning to buy RDX and just help my friend to negotiate the price down, but end up getting one for myself, lol.
This is my final price list, hopefully will help people to negotiate.
It is 2020 RDX A-SPEC, with perl white paint($500), plus $442 protection pkg(for free now). Manufacture incentive: $3000, 12% tax. Total $53500. They also waived my loan application fee ($300).
You guys got a great price since your car is brand spanking new. My 2020 demo aspec with 2500km with roof rack/cargo cover/all weather car mats and trunk mats came to $53000.
Do not get pressured by the sales tactics in the finance office. You do not need any dealership add on.
I declined the extended warranty cause these cars last 20 years. Any major problems would be way after the 7 year mark anyways. They quoted me $2400+tax.
You can find rust proofing from other companies at half the price.

Thanks fo the reply. I will have to let the dealer know by tomorrow. They are offering
5 year 100k Km for $1200
6 year 100k km for $1600
6 year 160k km for $2400
Anyone got better a deal on the warranty?
Im still undecided about the warranty. And, I dont think i would get the rust proofing from the dealer.

Seems like a big waste of money to the extent that some of these plans will even pay you back for a large chunk of it if you don't use it or they let you transfer the entire thing to another car - basically they make so much money on them that they can afford to cover your next car for no additional money.
Yes, it's definitely possible you have a claim in those years after the main warranty goes but the odds are remarkably low. You're buying this mostly for peace of mind, not really for saving money.
My dad (who's in his 80s) is look at leasing a RSX Elite or Elite Platinum. He's leased several Acuras before and is currently leasing a RDX. This is the quote his Toronto area dealer gave him for a black Elite on a 48 month lease with $0 down and 24,000km/year. It works out to be $672.68 a month including taxes.
I noticed the dealer added in wheel and tire protection and the floor mat and rear cargo liner package.
It also looks like he got a 2% discount on the lease rate and a $2000 discount. The thing I don't get is the $1,769.91 charge that the dealer has labelled as a cash down payment. That combined with the wheel and and tire protection package adds up to about $2,500 and wipes out the $2,000 discount and ends up adding about $550 to the price. I'm just trying to figure out what the dealer is doing here.
Is this a fair deal? Could he get a better price? Would an Elite Platinum be a lot more expensive?

Hi, I think it is not a bad deal but not the best. The rate is super good( but that is because you are loyalty customer so you deserve it) , but could negotiate the total price more down. The lowest lease price for Aspec I found before is someone in Toronto area with $6000 down, $529 per month, 20000km.
I picked up a majestic black 2020 RDX A-Spec right at the beginning of September for $50,500 all-in in the GTA after making 2 previous visits to the same dealer. I believe the discount of $1,250 related to a 3 day sale event they had 2 weeks after I picked up the car but they applied early. Lastly, I did finance a portion of the car through Acura Financial at 5.3% over 4 years. Hope this helps somebody

That's an amazing deal. How did you get them to give you 6k discount on the MSRP? Dealer invoice for a-spec is 46.72k + 2.18k (freight) = 48.9k.
What you got is 1.5k below invoice.
Honestly Quebec sucks. In Ontario, everyone is getting sick deals. In Montreal, dealers don’t even want to talk to you when it comes to discounts. I know someone bought an A-Spec with 3,500KM for $49K. It was not a courtesy car, the director of sales was driving it.
Ouch, $50,5339, 5.3% over 4 years charge $5,657.
'Dealer price $49,274, inc 13% tax $55,685. $3000 discount after tax $52,685. Inc finance charge and total = $58,342.

Having that 2% discount for the interest rate makes this looks like a good deal. I guess it helps being a loyal customer haha!
Looking at Acura.ca, at the normal 2.99% rate, the elite in white with taxes should be $800 per month for 48 months.
I don't quite understand what they mean by down payment if you aren't putting in a down. Would that be some sort of security deposit that you can get back later but helps with bringing the monthly payment down?

They discounted the car by $2000 pre tax ($1769.91 + 13% = $1999.99) and for whatever reason, showed it as a downpayment.

I was originally negotiating for a 2019 a-spec model that they had in stock and when the sales manager realized that the gap between my offer and their’s was too large and I was about to leave for the final time, he offered the 2020 model at $50,500. Although the interest rate is a bit steep, I actually only borrowed $20k and will probably have it paid off within a couple of years so it won’t be too big of a hit. Another reason they were probably willing to do that price as they are also getting a commission from the loan as it was originally with Honda financial and then switched to RBC before I picked up the car.
In terms of advice, from my past experience in purchasing 2 other Acuras as well as other brands, you should be aggressive with your offer and if you’re a serious buyer, the dealer will do all they can to close the deal. Timing is also everything as well!

Hi -- I'm in the market to buy the same car. Would you mind telling me where you got this deal? If you recommend a specific salesperson, that would be very useful. PM is OK. Thank you.

Congrats on the deal. I also walked out and the sales guy did not even contact me for few days. I found a deal in another city and asked them to match it, and they did.
I agree that being able to walk out is the buyers upper hand, but the timing is just as important! like when the dealer is trying to reach a certain sales figure.

Hey, thanks for the PM. I'm trying to reply but am getting an error that you need to delete some of your messages to allow me to PM you back. Thanks.
Acura right now has $3,000 manufacturer plus $1,000 dealer holidays cash rebate for A Spec and up. That's $4,000 cash rebate plus how ever much you can negotiate down. I was thinking of buying one during this coming boxing week but I think if you pay cash, this is about as good as it gets, is it not?

Rabates/discounts/dealership incentives are mumbo chumbo words that mean the same shit different lipstick.
What you should be concerned about is final out the door price.
Scroll up and you'll notice canadians are getting Aspec for around $53000 taxes in...so go off that as you negotiate and watch the salesman go back and forth to his managers office for 2 hours.

Right, $53000 before tax is about $47000 (including freight). So I should aim at $47K or thereabout which is $6K off MSRP? If I can get the A Spec for $50K tax in here in AB, I'll go for it. Was looking at the Rav4 but no discount on them so the RDX makes more sense.
