2019 rdx

I had my Wife's 2014 RDX in for a timing belt and got a Elite RDX as a loaner. I think it was one below the top end as it had no fog lights here in Canada. Anyway, I have a 19 MDX ASpec and was considering the RDX ASpec. Anyway, as I needed to drive the car for a while, I had to connect my iPhone to Bluetooth which was quite easy. I used the navi and put in an address. Very strange writing it on the pad but it worked well. Only thing I did not like was trying to find AM radio. I had a heck of a time sliding the screen over to find the AM icon. Maybe it was just because I am new to it but it would not slide to the second screen.

Anyway, this car had the HUD, and it is very cool. It is very top end and deep looking into the windscreen. It would have been perfect if the street on the HUD was right. Strangely the street on the Navi was right, but different on the HUD display. Very strange.

Anyway, the car is very fast, especially in sport plus.

You guy's do have a very nice car.

The pad does take some getting used to, but you just have to flick right or left quickly to get to the next screen over.

There's a keyboard in the upper right if you have to enter alpha numeric info. I prefer to use that.

The "swipe" takes a bit of a knack. Don't be shy about it. Just SWIPE and it goes.

Kind of sounds like the automatic doors on Star Trek. Maybe future software updates will allow us to just say "SHHHHHP!!" as a voice command.

If it had HUD then it was the Platinum-Elite, so top top model. Funny they handed that as a loaner! How did you like the 2.0T vs your V6?

Okay, but I thought it would have foglights too. This car did not. I also thought the wheels were light grey and these wheels were silver. I like the engine in the RDX, but it is a little 4 cylinder noisy. I drove it in the sport plus mode and it really went. I do prefer the V6 though. I agonized between the MDX and RDX but picked the MDX, which is a change for me as I have had 3 prior RDX's, 2011/2014 (still have), and 2017, traded the latter in for the MDX.

That's a very fair impression, yeah 4 cylinders will probably never sound near as good as a V6 or V8 or be nearly as smooth. I think you still made an excellent choice with the MDX and maybe by the time you're ready to trade in the RDX with a V6 will be out!
