Was thinking the same exact thing! My RDX was royal blue pearl, A.K.A royal pain in the ass blue. Absolutely stunning when clean. But literally sneeze on it, and it shows.
Congrats OP. The MDX looks like a beast in black with the contrasting jewel eye headlights. Sort of like a mad spider.

Nope. Once I went black, I came the hell back.
Well technically I had Carbon Gray Pearl. And even that was a pain to maintain. Learned my lesson and bought a white MDX.

What makes owning a black car tough isn't that it shows dirt more so than other colors...it's that imperfections in the clear coat show are nearly impossible to miss! There's no light base coat underneath to help hide them. The sunlight can't help but direct your eyes towards those swirls or scratches. To make matters worse is it's so tough not to add to those imperfections over time.
Since I regularly detail my car, dirt can really only be seen up close. Step back a few feet and the car looks shiny. Below is a perfect example, my car hadn't been washed in at least a couple weeks in this pic and I was visiting my parents so I'd driven a couple hundred highway miles.
Of course this can be a negative too because my wife can never seem to agree with me that I need to wash my car (while she watches the kids).

I went black and came back. I do find myself wishing that I got a black TLX sometimes though. Plus, it doesn't help that 90% of the TLX's that I see are white.

Funny thing is i find myself wishing at times that i got a white instead of black. I guess we always want what we dont have... its human nature. I agree though, 90% of tlxs i see are white. That makes me feel better about my choice.

WOW that looks amazing! I love the silver-chrome skid plate thing on the front bumper, really adds visual pop against the black. Now good luck keeping it clean lol!
If they would shrink the MDX a few inches, raise the roof a few inches and lift it off the ground another inch, it would look incredibly mean. I hope the next gen RDX finally looks like the MDX on the outside.
