What's everyone paying for their new 2015 MDX?

While I was email blasting every dealer in CA, I also "heard" that 2016 MDX will be released in a few months. Since my newborn is not due until May, I am going to put a pause on the MDX search.
Anyone else hear about 2016 mdx in April/May time frame?

Well I pulled the trigger on a FWD base model and got invoice price, plus they gave me a great price on my trade in. For those in the western NC/SC area, I highly recommend Bradshaw Acura in Greenville. I negotiated with just about every dealer in a 200 mile radius of me, and they offered the best deal of them all. Anyone looking now should ask for Shannon.

2016 Acura TLX
Well after months of setbacks, my parent's finally bought a 15 MDX Tech FWD. Paid 48k for it out the door from Acura of Pleasanton(a little under invoice plus tax). The deal included the folding cargo tray and wheel locks.
Drove the car home today and unfortunately had a rock crack the windshield on the way back, had less than 20 miles on it at the time.

I got one offer 2015 AWD tech+Enter... Running board, doors trim, musguard, wheel lock tint. Backup sensor and remote starter for $53,500 in Dallas Area. Is this still high? Is 52,600 possible? Any downside on the backup sensor installed through dealer ? Thank you!

$49k completely OTD.
Even negotiated loan to 1.7% apr with 1% cash back and 90 days no pay. Not sure I could get a lower SP in January in this market.

We just traded in our 2014 RDX AWD Tech for a 2015 Leased FWD MDX Tech
Both wife & i didnt care for the tech package or the 2016 changes, (we really wanted more space) for our 10month old.
I told our salesman i wanted the current offer lease for a black base awd with auto start
manager ran over & said he had ONE fwd tech black on black that he'd do for $2999 (in equity from our trade down) 410 a month, 36 months 10,000 a year and got a check cut back for 6k+
We pulled the trigger, we get snow but dont go out if its bad and majority of the year its nice out.
We're happy with our purchase

My first time in the hunt for Acura MDX advance, after going through some of the posts regarding the pricing it looks like there are deals slightly lower than what I was offered through couple dealers. The fact that 2016 models are out now and will be available later this month or next month, is it worth waiting to get better deals on the 2015 or there will be good deals also for the 2016?
I'm trying to negotiate for selling price $52,000 without acc.
For 2015 MDX ADV package I was offered the following:
Offer 1 - No accessories
Selling price: $54,000
Tax: $3,255
Doc Fee: $250
License Fee: 33.50
Total: 57,538.50
Offer: 2 - still negotiating accessories (splash guards, wheel locks, all season mats, fog lights, running boards) to be included in the selling price
Selling price: $53,500

I am in the market for a 2-3 year old MDX but couldn't help but notice a handful of 2015 Base models on Autotrader at a nearby dealer for $39.9k. I believe with the '16s hitting the lot they are marking these down to clear them. I realize this is a decent price, but how low can I expect to go? $39.9k must be very close to invoice, but is there room to go below?

As everyone talking about 2016 being ordered/start to hit the dealers. Some dealers still have 2015 inventory in their lot and trying to get rid of them with good deals. How much the discount should be from the MSRP or Invoice specially around this time?
I have seen around 1000 - 1400 below invoice for the 2014 models when the 2015 models came out.

I don't believe anything close to that is possible since Acura has not offered market support to the dealers. They don't have to since this is a strong seller for them. $5K is max discount to expect. The lease deals are great though since Acura lowered the interest rate in early January.

Does Acura typically offer any form of rebate or special incentives? When I bought my 2010 Infiniti FX35, I bought it in late summer 2010 when they were bringing out the 2011 models, in addition to getting down to just over invoice Infiniti was also offering 0.9% financing or $4,000 cash back. So I took the $4,000 cash back and lined up my own financing.
Not sure if Acura ever offers that sort of special rebate in lieu of their financing, or any other special incentives? Also, is there any real bonus to waiting to year end closeout, or if you only save at most another $1,000 tops then you may as well buy any other time during the year if you find the color and options you are looking for.
Thanks for any input, I've never bought Acura and was curious if there was a specific time of year that you will find a drastically better deal than normal.

Dealers get big incentives from manufacturers to meet sales quotas each month and for the year. Add to that if they need to clear out a model year to make way for the new ones, dealers can become very motivated to sell.
Dealers want to sell 2015 MDXs now to make way for the '16s, so you can probably get invoice pricing before they are gone pretty easy (or even lower in some places) even though Acura has no consumer cash incentives. They are offering lease deals and finance deals, but their finance interest rates on MDXs aren't that great.

Universally, the best time to buy just about any make/model is near year end (December), month end and model year close out. If more than one of those events happen at the same time, all the better. Of course, regional factors can also be big. When dealers have competition, like in large markets in CA and near DC, discounts can be large and they may fight for your business.

If not, and the best deal you will typically be able to negotiate (excluding market specific factors) is to get it around invoice with no cash back incentives, then there isn't a huge advantage to waiting until they want to close out that model year to make way for the next model year (especially if the next model year isn't a refresh).
If you wait til year end, selection will be pretty thin, so if you want specific color/options combo, and you may only get an extra $1,000 tops off by waiting, then if you find something you like now you may as well just buy it if you are ok with possibly missing out on $1,000 or so.
Now obviously if you knew that by waiting you might get a $4,000 cash back on top of getting invoice (or slightly under) pricing, then there would be a huge incentive to wait until later in the year.
So that was my main question: around whether Acura typically (meaning the past few years) has offered any meaningful cash back incentives? Or at most can you expect to not get much better than straight invoice (possibly a little under depending on competition)?
Thanks again. This is part of why shopping is difficult, each brand/manufacturer has their own pricing tactics and special incentives. Some will give you huge cash back incentives, some others don't do it at all (or they give you something relatively meaningless like $500 off a $50,000 vehicle).

Acura does not typically provide cash incentives (except for vehicles that have aged or are the RLX, as an example) beyond $500-750 typically. Right now is the only time there has ever been any kind of cash on the MDX, with $500 dealer cash and that's the most you will see.
They specifically keep the MSRP down and avoid it being inflated, to prevent excess discount that means a vehicle is overpriced and hurts resale terribly. Not the case with Acura, nor is over production.
Don't buy the discount, buy the quality of car. An MDX AWD Tech at $499xx as example even at sticker is a better deal than most competitors with large discount...for what you get.
2015 MDX inventory is moving quickly, so the $500 is about the most you'll see.

Also, to clarify: When I bought my FX, it was typically priced around $4,000 over invoice. So I got $4,000 off by getting basically Invoice pricing, and another $4,000 cash back incentive on top of that. So ended up getting it $4,000 UNDER invoice after cash back.
So if you can get a similar deal on an Acura, it makes sense to wait and take your chances with selection. If not, then you won't miss out on a lot by buying when you find what you like rather than waiting and hoping your color/options package is still available.

Thanks! Also, I'm assuming that is the case for nearly all Acura models (including the new TLX)? If that's the case, and you can get what you want for close to invoice, than it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to wait. My girlfriend will be looking to buy a TLX relatively soon, which is why I asked the question. But I also was asking out of curiosity for when I decide to get rid of my FX35 and would possibly be interested in an MDX for more room.
Thanks for the info![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

You can still get below invoice without customer cash back. In the DC area and CA (LA/SF), $4000-5000 off is possible.
The only caveat I have is that most people post all these great deals on here, but I rarely see what they got for their trade-in, or if they traded at all. I paid invoice, but I also got a great price on my trade-in.

Just bought a MDX w/tech pkg in Phoenix Az area. Sticker was 48,040 plus $2499 in add ons (window tinting, wheel locks & cargo Matt) bringing total sticker to just over $50K. Paid $43,600 plus tax & license. There does not seem to be Acura Incentives but they cannot be selling under invoice & still making money.
