Can someone please explain how this "Costco Discount" works? I'm looking for an Advance AWD/ENT and the 3 local dealers i've contacted wont budge past the 57.4 MSRP tag.
I have executive membership at Costco but was not aware that I can purchase a vehicle from them, let alone at a discounted price. Can anyone shed some light on how this program works? Since the 2014 MDX was only recently released Costco may not yet have a negotiated discount with any of your local dealers. |
Took the plunge yesterday: 2014 MDX SH-AWD, Technology, Silver Moon exterior/Ebony interior.; options: heated steering wheel, remote start, wheel locks, splash guards, cargo tray (living hinge) (last 3 options basically 'standard' from the dealer); trade is 2005 RL with just over 120k on it.
Sale price $49,747 less $7,600 trade (a bit more than I expected) plus $199 "administrative (BS) fee" for net sales price $42,346. That's $823 under the list for base sticker plus accessories (all rather overpriced IMHO, but what can you do? I'm not personally inclined to do-it-yourself, and on this kind of thing, am fairly okay with paying the dealer-'advantage'-surcharge). I put $500 down, balance upon delivery. Kansas City appears to like MDXes. The dealer had only 2013's on the showroom floor--and they were from other dealers. It took a bit of effort and patience to pry an MDX away from the dealer for an overnight test drive. I probably could have driven a harder deal (mainly by bringing my wife along--she's the money-harda$$ of our family) but I'm pretty happy. |

Jay Wolfe. Don't like them as much as Hendrick, but they're fifteen minutes closer, as I'm over on the Missouri side. (And I bought my previous Acura from Jay Wolfe, so I suppose I should add that Hendrick hasn't had the same opportunity to irritate me that Jay Wolfe has. I will say that they seem to have improved in the couple of years since I got royally pi$$sed with them "for the last time". I can't hold a grudge to save my life.)

Anyone in Chicagoland getting more than $1500 off MSRP? I heard somone got $3,000 off at Napleton

Anyone got a good deal in LA area?
I tried with Costco auto program, they offer $1500 off MSRP, but they added back about $1000 in accessories. I am looking for 2014 MDX SH-AWD with Technology package. Greatly appreciate for any advise. |

Not sure about trade in. Funny thing is another dealer told me to go to Napleton as they heard of 3k off. I called them and no go.

Just want to check with you on the MDX AWD with Tech and Ent package at Hendricks. I am talking to them and they quoted 51,000 with destination fee. (Acutal MSRP 50,565 plus Destination of 895= 51,460). Just 460 less. How low did he come on MSRP for you (excluding the accessories), if you dont mind sharing? Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Hey everyone, are you guys paying these prices out the door or before taxes?

before taxes and registration

Connelly in Framingham. Did not shop between dealers, used experiences of people on this site and other internet sites to determine price points. Service will be important to me and this dealer is closest to home for me so wanted it to work here if at all possible. Did seriously consider RX, ML, Q7 and a few others and was very open with Acura about my search, came down to RX and MDX. MDX more expensive but I think will be more fun to drive.

Financing APR
I saw a lot of posting regarding the $$ discounts and free accessories. I just wonder what kind of financing special (APR) people got when they bought the new 2014 MDX.
|
About $1,500-1,800 off MSRP.

i'm currently in the market for a 5 or 7 passenger SUV/crossover. i can get a RDX or Toyota Venza now, but i want to wait a few month when MDX's asking price goes down a bit. my target is SH-AWD with Tech package for $46000 before TTL. i got nothing but time.

Got mine for $1000 off MSRP ( advanced no accessories ), no trade-in. This was the second brand new car that I was buying in my life. First was 2003 Nissan Maxima ( stick shift , love that car ) and I can say that Nissan sales person was an ass comparing to Alfredo at Park Ave. Acura NJ, this guy was honest , straight forward, I recommend Alfredo to anyone that is looking for Acura in that location.

$49,000 for my SH-Tech RES
$49,000 for my SH-Tech RES. This was my 4th Acura purchase

Bought New MDX for 1,871 off msrp
Today, I bought the new MDX AWD Tech Package for 47,589 which is $1,871 off MSRP
Got this price from a dealer in Pittsburgh, pa Another one in NJ offered $47,260. |
Update on the AWD Tech I ordered on 7/20: The dealer told me that the original build date was 7/3 but was pushed back to 7/13, with an additional 10 days to 2 weeks for final delivery.
I wonder if the build delay has anything to do with the weld/noise issue reported elsewhere on the forum? Is the 3-week interval from special-order to build-date what others (who aren't buying off the lots) are seeing? |

My build date has been slipping as well. Bought on 7/20 and original build date was 8/6 and has been constantly slipping by a day or two since then. Dealer said they reached out to their contact to try and get some insight. My guess is a part shortage that is holding things up.
They estimated 10 days for delivery after build. I live in NJ |

36-month lease (12k/year) with all upfronts included (origination, doc fee, new Georgia tax/$1600, etc.) for $563+tax.
Includes about $1500 in trade allowance. |
I got word yesterday that my MDX has a VIN which, according to salesperson, means it's been released by the Alabama factory for transport. Waiting . . .

Looking at an SH-AWD base with no accessories. Dealer quoted me $42, 061 (that's $3,124 off msrp) and they were giving me $26, 000 for my 2009 MDX Base with 48,200 miles on it. Only owe $22,377 on it. Gave me a lease option too: 36 month, 12,000 miles per year no money down $518 out the door with no money out of pocket. Or with my trade it would be $413 a month. Decisions, decisions. I live in the St. Louis area.

This sounds like a crazy deal. Jump on it, and run. You will enjoy the 2014 so much more.

I am so envious!! That is such a sweet deal compared to what we get in Canada!! I would be in an MDX if I could find someone to buy the RDX.

I paid MSRP at Harper Acura in Knoxville, TN for a SH-AWD with Tech package. I bought the all weather floor mats and the seller paid for the living hinge cargo tray. I wanted my MDX in moon silver with graystone interior but they didn't have one. They found me one in NC though. It had the splash guards already installed which they didn't charge me for. It also had wheel locks and cargo net that I kept for $120. Total cost $50,072 before TTL.
