The traffic flow has been gradually disappearing over the last week or so until yesterday when it was totally gone. I have the Traffic icon showing in bottom left.
Live in SF Bay area. It seemed to start happening coincident with all the fires in the North Bay, but I don't see how it could be related. There has not been a cell problem or internet issue other than in the specific fire areas.

 

I read somewhere that the Traffic data is broken in most of these Acura cars.
They use traffic data from SirusXM, which is a subscription based service.
I think we get for free the first 3 years of ownership, but it won't work after that without a SirusXM subscription.
Why didn't they use the FREE HDRadio Traffic data?
I never use Traffic info on OEM system anyways. Google Maps is 1000% better and more accurate.

 

They stopped using XM for traffic quite a while back. Its now through a cellular based service.

 

now I'm not sure if it is cellular. Someone had posted a link to the service and it said cell-based. But their are some info on it being HD Radio based.

 

I noticed that too, traffic icon is missing and sometimes just appear with no reason.

the day after traffic totally disappeared, it was 100% on and has been since. Go figure.

 

I'm also in the SF Bay Area and experiencing the same. Started occurring around the time of your post. Has gotten worse since. It used to re-establish connection if the car started and the traffic icon was not present. Now, I go an entire morning commute with no traffic info. I'm in a TLX.

 

I have not had any problems lately which seems to point to a car problem rather than network problem.

 

we are in Sacramento and it has been hit and miss a lot lately. One day I hit the Acura Link button to test it and about 5 seconds after the test call the traffic came back up.

 

I saw the first traffic icon since May last week. But alas it is crappy again and no incidents ever show. I hate to say this but AcuraLink is dropping the ball on this.
