Touch screen difficult to read in sunlight

When the sun comes through the side or front windows it can make viewing the touch screen and related controls unreadable. Everything is washed out. Anyone dealt with this yet? thanks.

Funny you mention this. I brought this up during a test drive i had last week and the salesman said I could go buy some film from staples to help with the glare problems. Couldn't help but chuckle.

There is definitely Claire on the screen if the sun hits it at the wrong angle. Ironically, there was no and whining, bitching, and moaning when Acura moved away from the touchscreen to the interface dial. Back when the touch screen was the only choice, glare was a problem then too.

My Garmin can be repositioned away from glare. mDX Upper screen is fine because it is shielded from sun. No ability to shield or reposition touch screen on MDX so it looks like I will be off to Staples for glare shields in support of my $53k car. Odd.

Just a follow-up - issue resolved.

1) Turned screen to "never" dim
2) Bought a glare screen from Nu-Shield and installed.

Issue resolved or at least MUCH better.

Needs a hood like the navi screen. Mine is washed out much of the time. I might try "never dim" but I would want it dimmed at night, so might not be worth the effort.

Did you buy Nu-Shiled for RLX '13 (for touch screen, not the nav screen)? It doesn't yet show MDX '14. I guess it should be fine.

I totally agree about hood like navi but given that isn't going to happen, the "never dim" & glare protector option works very well. Navi never dims so touch screen and navi now look the same at night. No issue so far and love that I can see touchscreen at all times during the sun-filled daylight hours.

exactly... RLX '13. It is a little larger than MDX '14 screen so you will need to cut the shield a bit to fit. Easy.
