Start/Stop Ignition Button

Driving 2019 MDX since February 2019, any other MDX drivers have issue with start/stop button especially starting vehicle and stomping on brakes like 4 or 5 times before actually starting?
Acura dealer says they are unable to duplicate and then says they are aware of issue.
I was offered a part by service manager and it came in after a few days. The service manager said the part would fix problem.
My MDX was scheduled for a pick up and provided a loaner vehicle. The car was then returned to me on same day in evening without part being changed out. They said Acura is aware of problem and didn't change the part that was ordered.
4 trips to the dealer and still issue of starting the vehicle. My MDX only has about 4400 miles. Had two oil changes from dealer already and two quarts added by gas station attendant.
Acura corporate says to refer to consumer rights in booklet that came with vehicle.

Im confused. Your telling us you step on the pedal 4 or 5 times while pressing the start button? Place your foot on the brake pedal and tap the start button. Thats how its suppose to work.

Why in 4400 miles have you had oil changed twice? And why are you letting some incompentent boob check your oil for you? My 18 MDX has a bit over 13,000 miles and is coming up on its second oil change. Somethingmis really fishy with your post. Please clarify things.

starting vehicle issue

There is obviousy a deep concern regarding start/stop engine button.I need to press brake down a few times before it actually starts while pushing button.
Dealer had offer free oil change when i went in for service on weekend at Paragon Service.Apparently they couldn't duplicate issue or solve this issue on a weekend. For my second appointment, they still couldn't duplicate problem.
On my 3rd visit to dealer, they said i needed another oil change, this time i paid. The oil level was at 15%. The service department also had order a piece to change out under brake. The part arrived and my appointment was on November 4th.
Dealer picked up car and returned later in the evening. They called in between and said part will not be changed out and vehicle will be retuned.I've had 4 appointments with service department already.
Acura of america says to proceed with my consumer rights. The car has been at Acura dealer 4 times, they said they are aware of issue on other MDX's.Anyone else having start/stop engine button issue where car won't start after pressing on brake?
I think i just got unlucky with this 2019 MDX.

Well, that more information. Take it to another Acura dealer. My 2018 had an issue with driver/stering wheel memory. Luckily I had a great service manager to work with me. It took six months, but they were finally able to figure out the problem. Sadly it took a retired engineer at the factory who had had the issue happen on another car and knew what the issue was. Since they replaced one part the car has been flawless. I suspect someone did not reset your DIC oil life meter. I think you need to find a better dealer service department to take care of your issue.

4400 miles and oil was at 15%?
My oil changes are close to 10K miles apart

Obviously some idiot failed to reset the oil life counter. The OP really needs to find a service department that has someone with a lot more common sense.
To the OP, where are you located? Please post this idiot dealer so others can avoid them.

Wow - a pretty deep set of issues...

For the start/stop button, if it's telling you to depress the brake on the MID when trying to start, my bet is it's a faulty brake position sensor. So many things in that car are dependent on the brake being depressed, replacing that sensor would be the first thing I'd try. Not sure if that's the part the dealer ordered or not, but it's gotta be a cheap way to debug. At a minimum, if it's a known problem to Acura, the dealer should be able to give you more info. I know that my dealer would be open with me about what they knew...

For the oil thing - it sounds like they did an oil change as a "customer satisfaction courtesy" early on, and likely didn't reset the oil life maintenance minder. However - if you're getting a 15 percent life left under 5k miles, that's very soon. And second - and perhaps more concerning - is you said a service tech had to add 2 quarts of oil? Something sounds fishy with that. Either they screwed up the courtesy oil change with not enough oil. Or somehow your engine is burning oil - which would be very unusual for the 3.5L in the '19 MDX.

I concur with others - see if you can find a different dealer and see if they can give you more accurate info.

maybe a stupid question, but are you keeping your foot on the brake pedal? Or just pressing and release before pressing start/stop?

Are you not stepping down onto the brake pedal far enough ? The brake pedal switch need to close before the ignition system will start the vehicle.

Or are you experiencing unusually hard pedal when starting the vehicle ice cold in the morning ?

I seriously hope this car has not used 2 quarts of oil in 4400 miles.
