My autostart stop has not worked in 9 months. No problem because I didn't miss it. I just took my car in for service. I get it back and the auto start stop is working like a demon. It is going on 50 times a day. Every single stop and the engine stops. Now for the scam. Since my service I have driven 200 km or 120 miles. In that time my oil live has gone down to 90%. I think all the engine stops at intersections, influences the algorithm that estimates oil life. This is brutal.At this rate, my next service will be in 1,100 miles or about 1 month. This is absurd.

 

In my 2016 RLX Sports hybrid, my engine shuts down on every stop and goes into EV mode but my oil life monitor goes down 10% every 1,000 miles like clock work. I guess I don't have an intelligent OLM like yours!

 

dude you’ve only driven 120 miles... that is not far enough to draw any meaningful conclusions.

My 2017 MDX has the auto stop/start and I leave it enabled... MID takes about 7,500 miles to start indicating service soon (15%) and that would be 10,000 miles from 100% to 0%
