Slow to shift from reverse to drive

Hey everyone. 2020 MDX tech. Owned since new with about 44k miles now.

I can’t recall if it’s been like this since the beginning, but I notice a delay when I shift from reverse to drive after backing out of the garage, a parking spot, etc. Is this normal for this transmission? Is it something that can/should be fixed with a software update?

No, I have not. I didn’t think we needed to at 40,000 miles.

I don't know what you think slow is - but, if it's like my definition, I totally agree. I have a 2019 and it's slow to shift from D to R and vice-versa. It is usually also frustratingly slow to to respond to pushing the "pedal to the metal (or close to it)". I have thought about getting a "Pedal Commander" or similar in hopes that it would fix at least the throttle response delay that is very frustrating. I drive in sport mode all the time, and it's not enough.
