Service visit coding for tsb’s
Service visit coding for tsb’s
Took the 2017 in for brake fluid flush and asked them to look at 3 other things.
1) Harsh transmission shifting (expected them to do tsb 20-015)
2) Fuel filler door not flush (expected them to do 18-073)
3) Cricket whine from hvac at low fan speed - front right side - did it on way to dealer but not when sitting in service advisor area
Called back later in the day and said they did the brake fluid, updated the transmission software, and did hear the squeal/whine and had replaced the blower motor. Didn’t have the fuel filler door parts so asked if they could keep overnight. Had a service loaner so no big deal.
When I picked up the following day, the receipt shows the following codes for the above 3 items
1) Software update (a/t) S/B 19-004, 20-015, 20-018. Weird since 19-004 is for the ‘14-‘19 RLX and I had no MIL on for 20-018
2) Fuel filler door lists no S/B number at all. Repair parts listed match 18-073 for the lid 74481-TZ5-A02 but sticker labels numbers are different.
3) Blower motor lists S/B 20-020. This again is for the RLX not the MDX.
It is a CPO with 30k so regardless everything listed should have been covered under warranty and it was.
Just wondering why they listed S/B numbers for non-MDX issues? Playing the reimbursement game from the mother ship? Or ?
Fuel filler door is much better, haven’t driven enough to prove the other issues are resolved but based on others experiences I am optimistic!
