With factory rails and crossbars, the vendor confirmed that the Inno Wedge Plus would work on my 2018 MDX. I have not yet pulled the trigger, so I can't say for sure. But they were responsive to emails and questions. Maybe look for a model from Inno that works for you. The one we picked will primarily be for skis and snowboards.
I have 2020 Sport Hybrid so no towing hitch.
I don't leaving the rail system if it looks good.....a temporary one may work too but I am concerned removing and reinstalling sounds like a pain.
I installed the factory roof rails myself, pretty easy. We will only leave the crossbars on in the winter months once we can buy a box and can get to the slopes again! https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-mdx-...-rails-970025/
I have a 19 MDX Hybrid and I installed OEM roof rails (Yakima rocket-box) and OEM hitch+harness+full size spare (swing out hitch cargo carrier or 4 platform bike rack). Haven't put any of the cargo carriers on since I purchased last year.

Can you advise the OEM part numbers to order this hitch and harness?
The harness has 12V outlet , was it easy to install?
I have to dig up the receipt from back in March when I installed it. I had Acura get the part and do the work and they were not 100% sure the hitch would fit with a full size spare already installed on the hybrid; which, it did with zero issues.

I am warming up to the idea of your swing out hitch cargo instead of roof box.
Is this the version you have
I modified mine and put a Y connector from 7-pin hitch connector. One goes to the 4-way lights and the other goes to a back-up light I installed under the carrier (I couldn't see at night when backing up).
oh you just made me realize that back camera will be blocked by this hitch cargo.
The 7 pin hitch connector is part of acura hitch+harness kit? (sorry for asking dumb question, I am new to this).

The OEM is a 7-way flat; but, you usually have the option of installing an aftermarket 4-way pin cable that runs out the hatch. I had to get a adapter to convert 7-way flat into 4 way pin for my cargo carrier. The cargo carrier is large and it will block the back-up cam, back-up lights, and maybe a little bit of rear lights (doesn't block rear view). The carrier I picked does have lights and license plate holder with lights; but, no back--up lights since it is only 4-flat connection. You only have left/right turn, brake lights, and night lights with 4 way pin. You need the power from the 7 way flat for back up lights.
I found a 7-way flat "Y" connector to split the power. I added one end of the "Y" connector to the bottom of my cargo carrier for a 7 way Blazer back-up light. I had to add a 8 foot 7 way extension cable+mounting bracket to reach because the "Y" connector was too short. I now have the a back up light and the regular cargo carrier lights (back-up cam still blocked by carrier).
7 Way 8 foot extension cable (extra length because of arm of the swing out feature), Amazon, $49:
