Remote Connect
Remote Connect
New MDX 2014 with Advanced Tech Pkg and entertainment.
Can't get the App Remote connect feature to work. Vehicle info works fine; iLink in MDX works. None of the Connect features work (Lock, unlock, horn, lights, etc)
Any similar problems or suggestions?

For me thats a mystery too. HOw can you do all of those features when there is no connection to the car? AS far as I know the only vehicles that can do that have to have a satellite connection, unless Acura has some "Onstar like" satellite comunication feature on their nav how would a cell phone communicate with the car? You cant use a cell phone signal to tell the car to do anything unless the car has a cell signal receiver which the MDX doesnt have (aside from your own phone). Inquiring minds want to know. I think that app simply has options for vehicles with communication options that the MDX simply doesnt have offer (yet). The fob can do all those things by direct radio signal. I pick up tomorrow I hope to get versed on that.

Thanks but it there is still a problem
The vehicle info works and the iLink works but the remote lock, start, etc, features that are part of the Connect package do not work. I have a trouble ticket open but no word yet. It seems to be a "service error" issue, whatever that is.
QUOTE=RL06tech;14730993]Found it, there is indeed a cellphone reciever in the car. The features you want are subcription service AKA you pay a monthly fee. I think its supposed to be free for 1 year. If your subcription is not "activated" it wont work, talk to your dealer:

Ill be trying mine soon. My salesman tells me the service has been available for a week or so. Looks like Ocare is far from alone in web based birth problems. ROLF

A week or so? I've been using mine successfully for the last two months. I've used the headlight flash and door lock.
