Rears strut- forgot black plastic strut cap- oem - critical?

Got oem struts
forgot the black plastic cap. The rear struts were much harder to do than anticipated and I got distracted by all the moving parts that needed to line up correctly while my strut compressor scratched the hell out of the the mount
Is it critical I re do the job ? Car drives fine and I had to redo it twice for this driver rear side
