good day all, my wife's Car, (2017 MDX with 66K) was running just fine, then all the lights on the dash went on, emergency parking brake, tranmission code then limp mode Etc...
it would not go into drive, only reverse? RPM's would be all over the place, revving high then low even at idle.
anyway, we got it towed home. i did a standard code read and it had a bunch of codes, the primary was the P2652, B rocker Arm actuator stuck on bank 1.
now i just replaced engine oil and filter, mobil 1 5W20 and honda filter. oil is fresh and at the right level. i say that b/c that's the first thing you have to confirm.
this code is related to the oil pressure switch on the back right corner of the engine. Bank 2 is front left and easier to get too. but bank 1 is not bad actually.
so i searched fixes for this code. the attached you tube video is awesome. I don't know the guy, but it fixed this exact problem for less than $50 bucks. DIY
i have no idea what the Dealership would have done, and we were also able to move around my car and take her to work, so leaving the car parked for 2 days
may not be practical for everyone. the video walks thru what i suspect an independent shop might do. also this is a honda Pilot i know, but same all around.
